Terrible experience, cannot set any restrictions or rule. Failed as the apps.
Super user-unfriendly. Very hard to understand each function by just reading the labels. The device rules and restrictions fail to work on child’s PLD- which means the only purpose of this apps’ existence FAILS. The whole setting just messed up: Ipad freeze, apps disappear out of nowhere, timing settings go haywire in a weird way against the intent. As a result, children who are only 12 end up using the Ipad uncontrollably while parents cannot do anything to help them. Very frustrating indeed, but we as parents and children are stuck in the same situation everyday.

Not helpful
For this App to be useful it needs time limits. I.e. Allow 30 minutes of games or YouTube after school. Apple controls can’t do this without also applying during school time. So the only option to Parents is to use the Apple option. But then while at school if being used by a teacher then the kids have to ask for more time and just hope one parent can respond quickly while at work!

Not working and not intuitive
For more than a month, the app has not been working. Only shows error msg. Before it stopped working, the design was really bad. It was not clear how any setup affected the ipad. Had to do by trial and error. Even then, the outcome was never consistent. Very frustrating and badly affects my child’s learning and leisure times. UX/UI design really needs a re-think badly.

Cannot apply restrictions
This app doesn’t work at all. They’ve insisted our children use iPads at school and that the MOE in its infinite wisdom be the one to decide what restrictions are set on it and at what time. However, in reality it basically has no restrictions and children can use it all day to play games. When you try to set up rules through the app, which is supposed to let parents manage their kids’ screen time, it doesn’t work. The restrictions cannot be applied.

Complete disaster
This is absolutely impossible to use. So far I’ve managed to blocking everything or nothing, and then only after fighting counterintuitive instructions which are as clear as mud. Clearly written by developers with no kids and not enough expertise to work for companies who know how to design user friendly apps. Like the native apple software which is intuitive and functional. Probably perfectly designed for a UK council has no interest in parental controls or kids screentime.
