A Brilliant Companion for Exploring Japan
Japan is one of my favourite destinations in the world. It’s somewhere you can completely lose yourself, with every neighbourhood feeling unique and unlike anywhere else.
What I found most useful about this app were the suggested itineraries. Even though I only stayed in Tokyo on this trip, they gave me loads of ideas for how I’d plan a longer journey across Japan next time. I also loved the breakdown of Tokyo’s different districts and what each area is best known for. It helped shape how I spent my time especially when I had focused days.
The map was another feature I kept coming back to, especially for vintage shopping, as well as discovering hotels with incredible views. Being able to explore places based on what I was interested in made planning much more enjoyable. It also made it quite spur of the moment too which made things feel spontaneous.
I’ll definitely be using this app again for future trips. Japan is somewhere I’ll keep coming back to, and this is a great companion for discovering more of it.

Japan Planning Made Easy
Very helpful app for planning my trip to Japan. I’ve been multiple times but this app has hidden gems that you don’t find from typical blogs or websites. Easy to use and customize for what you are interested in.
A must get app for visiting Japan!
I’ve planned several trips using the Japan Like a Local guides and it’s amazing having it now as an iPhone app! A must have for new and returning Japan trips, so much great info!
Everything you want out of a trip
This is the perfect app for travelers who want to see the best of Japan, but not like every other tourists. The app is thoughtful and intuitive. You can identify specific interests and sites from restaurants to gardens, or follow the curated guide for multi-day trips. Highly recommend for any Japan trip!

Better than saving a bunch of videos!
Instead of saving a million videos about Japan this app is way better and extremely well organized. The map feature is the best part, you can easily see where all attractions, restaurants, photo spots, ect are located so you can plan your days more efficiently. The guide part has helpful tips all in one place-especially the transportation section when there’s so much confusing info out there on which type of tickets you should buy. The emergency information section is great too, hopefully you won’t need it, but I never see anything like that on travel apps/videos!
