Serious limitations
A good idea and cute app but it the AI has a serious drawback. It does not teach you Japanese. You have to teach yourself a certain level so that you can talk with it. You basically have to already know Japanese to use the ai. The listening part is flawed it got many of my English words wrong and it is, like all the language apps, expensive. To start out it’s better to buy a book.

Surprisingly good
I was skeptical but it’s actually very helpful. You can pick different situations and practice them in Japanese with your AI “tutor”. In general she (it??) does a good job of keeping me on track. I find it much easier to keep drilling the same thing with this vs a tutor, where I can get embarrassed.
