Completely non-functional. Aquarium WiFi is useless because of this app
This app is useless. I paid for a WiFi enabled hood. This is the app that connects over WiFi. The app cannot connect to the hood and it doesn’t appear and the scan for the hood function doesn’t even work rendering the whole WiFi component of the hood useless. It asks for WiFi network name, user name (‽‽‽) and password but entering it does nothing. Nothing you do in this app seems to do anything. You don’t even get error message or status indicator. Does not look like the app was written Xcode. The UI looks like it’s a web page at best

Very disappointing
Bad interface, counterintuitive.
Disgusting
A company like JBJ should be embarrassed for putting something out as terrible as this. Such high potential for an almost well designed product. The one thing that kills it is the app. It’s practically useless. No app/connection renders the whole product useless.
I am now looking at how I can use the hood and install a retro kit inside it.
If they just took the time to fine tune the app it would be a 5 star rating.

Won’t connect
Tried everything to connect!!!
My Phone Won’t Connect to Thr Light
I can’t get my phone to connect to the light anymore. The latest iOS doesn’t seem to let you connect to the hood because it doesn’t have an internet connection.

Not working
The App doesn’t seem to be loading all functionality for IOS devices. The pages with Manual/Smart Mode and the time selection page isn’t installing. We’ve tried on 3 different devices.
JBJ app
App is great works flawlessly. There’s definitely plenty of room for improvement to make it way more user friendly and make it easier to get the perfect light settings. Would be awesome if I could see the percentage of light as I’m adjusting instead of trying to fighting to get 1% for night time cycles. Also Bluetooth instead of wifi would be a lot easier to adjust the lights every time instead of having to switch WiFi’s everytime. But no the less still think they did a great job with the app!

Works well
I am using it on my 23 gallon tank. It’s been running about a year. Have had no problems. I wish it would allow the storage of 3 or 4 programs, so that the lighting could be swapped easily with the seasons. Currently it requires you to change each time interval and the power settings for the red, white and blue LEDs. Otherwise I’m very satisfied.

Nothing works like it should. All ands and prompts are either in Chinese or confusing, poorly translated English. User unfriendly. No one picks up at the JBJ phone number. Want my old canopy back.
