Volume faders don’t work

Volume faders don’t work

Not for Eon One compact running v6 firmware

I struggled for a full day trying to get this working with my new (2026) JBL EON ONE compact. No Joy. Then a lucky spot on the web pointed me to the JBL Pro Connect app. That worked straight away.
If your Eon One Compact is running V5 firmware, this is the one for you. If its running V6 Firmware, then go get JBL Pro Connect.
Its a long process as you will need to do another firmware download. Up to half an hour. Frustration relieved.

Does not work

This app does not work anymore, been sitting here for hours tryna get to work and than downloaded the JBL PRO CONNECT APP for it to tell me they need to be updated. JBL wasted my time and energy by telling me the wrong info .

No funciona esta app

Esta aplicación no sirve… esta desactualizado… aunque conecta con las bocinas… el volumen se atasca… yo descargué la app JBL Pro Connect y esta si funciona la perfección…

Needs work!

The JBL EON ONE PA is fantastic. It’s a shame the APP DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE. Don’t waste your time on the app. It needs much updating.

Not working

Pretty bad for expensive gear app doesn’t let you do anything really disappointing you can’t even play music via Bluetooth

Terrible software

Doesn’t work correctly so I thought I’d download the new version and it’s actually worse. None of the controls work at all.

It doesn’t work…

It doesn’t let you control the volume etc etc. everything up to date tried all factory reset etc. pretty rubbish

Does not work

Bought a brand new jbl eon one and tried to connect to the app. It connects and allows you to find the jbl, in otherwise the lights on the jbl flash when you click the find button. The volume control is stuck at -81db and cannot be moved. The check firmware says it is good. As noted in other reviews, this software has not been updated in years. Do yourself a favor and just download the jbl Pro Connect app. That app works and identified a firmware update. JBL needs to remove this nonfunctional app.

Awful!!

Update: eq settings do stick when app is closed. Don’t hope to bt to multiple speakers - it ain’t happening. Too bad you can’t even save eq settings in the speakers so you can kill the app speakers and bt to one and pass thru to the others with cables. Oh, and it seems as though updating firmware so you can try pro connect app may make things worse with this app for eon one compact speakers. Nice!

Doesn’t work

Use the jbl pro connect app instead. I don’t know why this app is here because the fx don’t work. The jbl pro connect app has more features.

App doesn’t work

I haven’t gotten very far. I can switch between mic and line in channel one, nothing else useful. I can’t raise the level with the slider. The slider moves, but when I lift my finger off it hops back to the bottom. Disappointing.

Awful companion app to a great speaker

It takes real effort to make a UI this bad. I have no idea what they were thinking. But it works I guess.

Don’t download this App

JBL Eon Compact is no longer supported on this app. Download JBL Pro Connect

Unusable

That’s just it, on my phone, iPhone 11, this app is unusable. I can open the app, but none of the features work. I try to use the mixer and none of the faders stay where I put them. Not sure what’s going on here. I would love to edit the reverb style on the speaker, as it is, there sounds like there’s no reverb even when it cranked to full, and with the app it looks like it could be possible, but alas, I cannot use the app.

Not Functional

I guess I’ll go with a competitor.

JBL apparently don’t give a toss

JBL must pride themselves on making bad apps for their products judging by the ** reviews across every single one of their offerings. Seems like they don’t give a toss for their consumers. How does a company of any repute allow janky garbage software like this to stand by their name and what would it take to make something really useful to accompany otherwise pro audio gear - instead of amateurish waste of time garbage like this 🤷🏻‍♂️

Abominable

One of the worst and least reliable apps I have ever used in my life. How JBL still sells the Eon One Compact new and markets this iPhone app as a companion to it, is beyond me. The app doesn’t work more than once. You need to reset the speakers each time you want to use it and it is so time consuming and painful. Would not recommend. Would rate zero stars if possible. App doesn’t work and yet no app updates in 3 years, yet still selling the speakers. Morally repugnant.

One of the worst control apps

This app is a nightmare; buggy, non-intuitive, unreliable, disconnection issues, you name it. The last update was three years ago and it doesn’t even work with the current 2024 firmware. It’s so frustrating that a huge company like JBL doesn’t have the capability, expertise, commitment or interest in getting this app right.
