Classic Case of Enticement and Trapping

Evolved from a very good app to a third rate app which can’t be called news at all. Jio Coupons will be a more appropriate name as it makes mockery of so-called news article by spamming it with pop ups every 5 seconds. What a disgraceful fall from a greed company which kept on trimming everything from the app and its incompetent developers pretend to be working on enhancement.

Full of Ads & less content

We cant even read a news, everytime an ad pops up in the entire screen. Quite irritatating.

After update now this app becomes useless

Jiomag app used to have lots of good magazines and lall important newspapers so i had option to select a particular newspaper and magazine to read as per our prefrence but now magazines and newspapers disappeared as Jio/Reliance has a long history of providing everything earlier and later removing all slyly and cunningly .Now only repetitive irrelevant news from different sources along with plethora of irritating ads are being shown so this app is now useless for me as there are better news apps available than it so I am now uninstalling it .

Great App experience

Just wanted to appreciate how great the user experience is on this app. The live news is really fast and very streamlined. Only one issue. I don’t know is it specific with magazine reading or what there are full screen ads which is really bad ads are fine because it’s a free app but not full screen ads. It must be more small banner ads.

Request for Clarification on Text Highlighting in Jio News App

I’m a new user of the Jio News app and have been enjoying the content it offers. I recently tried to highlight text within articles for reference but couldn’t find the feature.

I wanted to inquire whether text highlighting is available in the app and, if so, how to use it. If the feature is currently unavailable, I’d like to suggest its addition in a future update. It would greatly enhance the reading experience and help users like me engage more deeply with the content.

Too many problems

Old app was good, in this app loads of issues
You cannot scroll don to see magazine as it minimises the content when you do that. You cannot select multiple languages. Today I changed language to Gujarati or read news paper and all English news paper appears out there. When you scroll and select a tab from the magazine it returns back to the first one quite frustating you have to start again. Not at impressed with QA of this app.

Latest version not useful….

I am using Jio News from many year….though I hv earlier also submitted feedback…that lot of changes required in older version app….
But when I recently update with new version app I found many issues
1. Language selection…only single language can select for both UI and content which really not all good. Whereas in previous version have more than one language option.
2. News papers listing is older than current date. Also due to language selection only one language papers can listed. So allow multiple language papers like Hindi as well as English too.
3. UI is not interactive and user friendly too….lot of good apps are available in market for same purpose. So would suggest to go through some of them and come up with new one.
5.Designer should think intuitive way and keep in the mind user requirement

Hope u will found FEEDBACK in good shape and looking forward to update in app

New version is good

UI is good. I hope this time notifications issues should not appear. Previously whenever we receive any news notification and if we click on it, the app crashes and we miss that news which we clicked on it. Hope this should not happen in new and coming versions. Also, kindly improve other Jio apps UI as well.

Good news app… but unable to receive notifications since last year.

It has been a good app in past but from last 5-6 months not able to get news notifications despite of checking all the setting within app and phone as well. Would request developers to look in to it please and suggest me the wayout. Looking forward to rate 5 star.

Really appreciate the daily newspapers section. The best thing about this app.

The e newspapers gets removed from background automatically.

The App requires to fix a bug where if the e-magazine or newspaper is placed in the background for few minutes the file gets automatically removed and the app starts from its menu page Further, on opening the pdf it displays the first page and there is no feature of continue reading from the pages web stop so the company required to get it updated as it is available in another apps.

what an app!!!

Superb effort from reliance. What a premium service for jio sim users. However, it is pretty bad marketing that I never knew about this app and the subscription I automatically get through Jio Sim. Fantastic from Jio, It is a premium that I will not switch now to Airtel which I was thinking since many days due to slower internet speed.

Best App!

This is by far the most valuable and cost effective subscription oriented app for aspiring UPSC and State Civil Service Examination s which is available through Jio SIM subscribers for a zero premium fee.

It would have been better if a wide selection of Newspapers and Magazines added in upcoming version updates of the app. Overall it’s a great app for aspirants who owns Jio SIM.

All newspapers and magazines in one place

Although Jio is currently binding Jio News with its recharge offers and giving it free for 500 days for non Jio users, I hope they don’t change the scheme of things. I love the fact that Jio gives all newspapers in one place. No need to look around for different newspapers. Easy to navigate and read. I give this excellent app 5 on 5 for its vast variety of newspapers which if we buy individually will cost us thousands.

Magazines magazines magazines

I love how much content this app provides and that to ask for free. I love to spend time reading all kinds of magazines and the only concern I have is if I’m reading a magazine and switch to different app, the app returns to Home Screen which is annoying and I open it again by going back to magazines section and finding the one I was reading earlier. Please fix this. Otherwise a great app

Compatibility issues with iPad Pro

Though The current version does include good combination of selections it’s not showing full screen on iPad Pro. The earlier version was in complete compatible with iPad Pro, where a reader can get full screen view. Hope the design team will make a note to develop compatible version soon.

One stop shop for all your magazine reading!

In a world getting more and more acclimatized to watching content, than reading it, I fall into the later minority. This app serves as a bastion for free reading, and serves a tremendous buffet of materials to read. Its my go-to app for regular newspaper and magazine reading. I hope Jio contines to offer this service for free to all its subscribers.

Excellent App for news

Where ever you are in the world, you can easily be in touch with the local news of India which you can read in a convenient way especially if you have a Tablet.

Only thing is once if you are outside India, better to keep location off in the app

Please bring back JioMags app it was the best thing ever.

Update: Thanks devs for listening to the define options, unfortunately there is no way to subscribe to jio mags except through a jiosim or a specific jiofiber plan.

Edit:Still unable to select a word and get options like define in magazines like Jagran Josh ,pratiyogita darpan etc. if you fear piracy then at least limit word selection to two or three word or remove option of copy.

App crashes very often if I switch app and go back or when iPad goes to sleep when reading, the older version of the app called JioMags was the best thing ever, it had all the features perfectly suitable for an ebook app, ever since this jionews was released the experience has only degraded,THERE IS NO BOOKMARKING FEATURE ALSO, what’s the deal with that? The app never properly remembers what page I was on before it crashed or I had opened the app after sometime. Enable word selection so that I can know its definition quickly, it is very inconvenient that I have to constantly switch apps for definition
