Very solid app for learning to write kanji
I was realizing recently that my kanji writing skills we’re way behind my skills for reading kanji, and I looked for apps to help with that; Jitaku is great so far, it’s already filling in that gap, and there’s quite a lot of other functionality as well. And the price is entirely reasonable: it’s not trying to be a bargain basement app, but also it’s not pricing itself like you’re buying a college textbook over and over every year.

Great app! Really helping me
I’m really enjoying using this app and it’s helping me a lot. The one feature I would love to see (it’s probably a lot of work though) is so,e audio feed back, I think this would help me remember the readings too
feedback
good app, good update, had a long streak going before i got too busy with exams. intuitive ui.
the process for learning new kanji is still sort of clunky (tapping ‘hint’ for every stroke isn’t efficient).
i think a good feature would be to, in the kanji review, test for kanji in a whole word if the word uses multiple kanji (which most of them do). sort of like how it works in the text reading. that only fits certain learning styles though so if implemented it should be kept as a toggleable option.
keep up the good work. 👍

Response from developer
Thank you so much for your feedback! It’s indeed good to be tested on a whole word instead of a single kanji, and I implemented text mode with that in mind, trying to link it with kanji review. (The words can be guessed with the context, and the hidden words are those who contains kanji that will come back to kanji review very soon) But there is still a lot to improve, I will see how I can make this feature more useful and intuitive for the coming versions! For new kanji that you have no idea how to write, you can also tap the New kanji button on the top to check it so that you don’t have to use the hint button for each stroke. Wish you the best with your Japanese studies!
Best App for Kanji Learning!
This is the best app to learn Kanji I’ve used, super customizable to your level and goals. Ideal for anyone who already has a solid basic foundation in Japanese and wants an accessible way to really learn kanji
Great App So Far!
I found this app on an advert and decided to give it a go, while only downloading it recently, so far my experience has been great. I can already read most of the kanji but not write them so I’m hoping to use this app to plug the gap in my skills.
