The other people talking badly about the app are low IQ Americans who make our country bad. Reading their lengthy reviews should only be done for entertainment. The JLC companies are always great and professional.

Used their webapp to order but after downloading app, honestly would’ve been an easy process here as well.
Little bloat and good UI/UX with snappy pages; IDK why there are so few reviews and bad ones at that.
Pricing is not the most transparent but better than other manufacturers and not too much more for rushed orders.

I downloaded JLCONE because I thought ordering a PCB would be simple.
I had a dream. A simple dream. Upload my files, click a few buttons, pay for my order, and patiently wait for my circuit boards to arrive. That dream lasted approximately thirty seconds after opening the app.
The moment I launched JLCONE, I was greeted by an experience that can best be described as “an adventure.” Not a fun adventure. Not the kind where you find treasure or save the world. More like the kind where you get lost in the woods and every path somehow leads to another menu.
The app itself is not ugly. It is not broken. It is simply determined to make sure you earn every single PCB you order.
At first, everything seemed straightforward. Upload the files. Easy enough. I managed to accomplish that part without causing an international incident. Naturally, I assumed I was almost done.
I was wrong.
Very wrong.
What followed was a seemingly endless series of options, settings, choices, checkboxes, and dropdown menus. Every time I thought I had reached the end, another screen appeared.
Board thickness.
Board color.
Copper weight.
Surface finish.
Panel options.
Shipping options.
Additional services.
Packaging choices.
Assembly services.
More settings.
Even more settings.
I am convinced there are menus inside other menus that only appear after midnight during a full moon.
At one point I felt like I was customizing a luxury sports car rather than ordering a circuit board.
The app assumes that everyone using it possesses the collective knowledge of an electrical engineering department. As someone who occasionally forgets where I put my phone while holding it in my hand, I found this challenging.
Every option sounded incredibly important.
Would selecting the wrong copper weight destroy my project?
Would the wrong finish cause my PCB to burst into flames?
Would changing one tiny setting accidentally increase the cost by a thousand dollars?
The app wasn’t saying yes.
But it definitely wasn’t saying no.
As a result, every decision felt like defusing a bomb.
The user interface also has a unique ability to make simple tasks feel complicated. I frequently found myself tapping on things just to see what they did. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it opened another menu. Sometimes it felt like the app was testing my commitment to electronics as a hobby.
I understand that PCB manufacturing is complicated. I truly do. There are countless variables involved, and professionals need access to those options.
However, there should probably be a mode for people whose primary goal is simply, “Please make the board from the files I uploaded.”
Instead, the app occasionally feels like it’s asking, “Would you also like to become an expert in industrial manufacturing before checkout?”
No.
No, I would not.
Another interesting feature is how every step feels incredibly important. The app creates a sense of responsibility that borders on existential.
I wasn’t just ordering a PCB anymore.
I was making decisions that felt like they could alter the course of human history.
Should I select one shipping option or another?
Who knows.
Maybe future generations will study this moment.
The pricing section deserves special recognition as well. Every time I thought I understood the final cost, something changed. Not necessarily in a bad way, but enough to make me question whether I had actually reached the final price.
The app keeps you alert.
Very alert.
Possibly too alert.
Coffee companies should study whatever process JLCONE uses because I have never been more focused on every button press in my life.
To be fair, there are things the app does well.
The upload process generally works.
The manufacturing options are extensive.
The ordering system appears powerful.
The company clearly knows how to manufacture PCBs.
My complaint is not about capability.
My complaint is that ordering a PCB occasionally feels like I have enrolled in a semester-long engineering course.
There is a difference between offering powerful options and overwhelming the user with information.
The app sometimes lands firmly in the second category.
I also noticed that finding certain information can require more navigation than expected. Important details are available, but not always where I instinctively expected them to be.
This creates a recurring pattern:
Open app.
Search for feature.
Fail to find feature.
Open another menu.
Still fail to find feature.
Open another menu.
Find feature.
Forget why I was looking for it.
Repeat.
Eventually I completed my order.
The PCB was ordered.
Civilization survived.
The world continued spinning.
I sat back in my chair feeling less like a customer and more like someone who had successfully completed a difficult final exam.
Should ordering a PCB require that level of emotional commitment?
Probably not.
Would I use the app again?
Unfortunately, yes.
Why?
Because despite all my complaints, it eventually accomplishes the task it was designed to do.
But if the developers happen to read this review, please consider adding a giant button labeled:
“I Have No Idea What Any Of This Means. Just Use The Recommended Settings.”
I would press that button immediately.
In fact, I would probably press it before reading what it does.
One star for the stress.

And logging in with SSO exposes the credentials to the in-app browser. Please fix!
