Very handy app.

I use this to get information off my phone handy. It works really well for that.

Five start app! One suggestion!! Please read!

I really love this app! One suggestion, when making a skill transfer it would be helpful the option to sort the search by industry.

SSD Practice Must-Have

Best product ever. Helps me out tons in hearings and preparation.

Simple yet Powerful ❤️

Fabulous app! I tell all my Vocational Rehab colleagues about this simple yet powerful tool. I use it several times a week... One suggestion (not criticism): allow search function to use partial spelling of jobs in order to find them among 12,761 jobs listed in the DOT IN MY POCKET... keep up the good work as there was just another update announced!

Awesome app

Great quick and advanced search features

Just Paid for Itself

I had to look up the SCO for a barber. The Social Security Administration said that my client could still work as a barber, although they say that he has “limited”fingering and handling. The SCO says the barber position requires Constant handling and Frequent fingering. I think we win, based on my 30 seconds on Job Sleuth. It just paid for itself.

Spectacularly put together. Mr. Ellis was definitely thinking when he created this fabulous app it answers all your questions efficiently and quickly that you might have when analyzing and arguing the vocational issues!

This is a great program-
Print function is slicker then Lexis and Westlaw- it would be great if the app worked
on my computer and lap top. I have used it for years - well done!!

Response from developer

Thanks for the review! I am very glad you like my app and enjoy the print feature! Have you tried printing a search result list? It includes the search terms you used (which can be handy for the advanced search).  As far as a Mac version, I'd love to make that happen by making a native app; until I have time to do that, the new Apple silicon Macs will be able to run the app. Have a great day!

Must Have App for Social Security Disability Practitioners

I love the format of this app. I have many other vocational resources including, e.g.Job Browser Pro and an original DOT from 1991. This app will allow me to more quickly access information I need during hearings. I should have purchased this app years ago when it was launched. Thank you, Ellis!

EPS.

How do I access this from my lap and desktop computers.

This app is helpful

Thank you.

convenient and accurate

Amazing and worth every penny of the cost. I’ve used it for years as a quick reference for DOT jobs (and the companion publications—SCO, RHAJ). It’s very well done and I’ve never found an error. It’s the easiest way to trace the steps of a VE doing a transferable skills analysis. This new update is even better, allowing for focus searches centered on simple/detailed, language levels, etc.

Fanstastic app for Disability Lawyers

This will revolutionize my practice. Please add native support for the iPad!

Worth every penny!

A must have if you’re doing disability hearings. I use it all the time.

Excellent!

A very well done, handy, easy to use app summarizing a huge amount of valuable information!

Great app for Social Security representatives

I use this during SSDI hearings. It's very useful and very easy to navigate on-the-fly.

Great app for SSD representatives

I got this for use at ODAR. Very detailed and helpful.

Don’t leave home without it!

You know how it is when you go to a hearing and the VE starts testifying - You scramble to get everything down that he says and you listen to the job descriptions he says are within your client’s RFC. If you are in a spacious room with a large table or desk, you might have room and time to spread the physical DOT out and look at the jobs the VE described, but probably not. So,you are left with only the VE’s description of those jobs.

Well, not anymore - Job Sleuth is easily the best investment in my practice that I have ever made. And, not only does it have the DOT codes and descriptions, it also includes SCO, MPSMS, Work Fields, Aptitudes, and Temperaments. Everything I need and it’s all on my iPad Mini.

The only thing I take to a hearing now is my iPad Mini and a legal pad. And I have much more information available and in a form that easily accessible. I think this app is an absolute necessity for anyone who represents disabled Social Security applicants.
