We need a way to hide the UI

Updated experience: The app is now crashing every time I press a button.

This app has a lot of potential. But, there really needs to be some way to hide the UI and provide more screen space for controls. I’m using this on iPhone. It’s especially bad if I rotate my phone to landscape orientation. There are all there unnecessary UI elements in the way and all I can see is a sandwiched portion of my controls.

I hope to see the ability to double tap on an empty space or simply tap a button to hide the UI and maximize the useable screen space for controls. Additionally, and this part may be a big ask, I would like to see my controls adapt/reflow in a logical way based on how I have my phone rotated. If that can’t be done, please add the option to prevent the app from rotating. Thanks.

Response from developer

Hi, sorry, I will look into this.

Great app

Amazing app. I just got it set up with Blender using the AddRoutes add-on. Is there a roadmap further development and is there a detailed documentation for all the controls? Thanks in advance.

Almost 5 stars for me…

I really need a couple specific features for this to work for me. Generally speaking tho I have to say as a musician/producer and app developer myself, this is well worth the money, well made and generally well thought out and has a lot of great potential. Way more to love than to dislike 👍👍

1. Relative adjustments (currently only absolute is supported)

As I touch a fader, I wish I could adjust the value as an offset, rather than the slider jumping to my touch. It makes minor adjustments very difficult.

2. Adjustable widths for sliders

I like to use my phone for expression and dynamics sliders next to my OP-1 as a midi controller. But the sliders are so thin they’re easy to ‘miss’. I’d love to be able to take up 2 grid widths for a single vertical slider to make it really easy to touch without looking.

Also this is where relative adjustments are even more important 👍

Nice to haves:

- would be amazing to see MIDI support
- I love a lot of the little interaction designs but the slider animations as you touch are so jarring
- no idea why all the settings are in 3 different menus. Just combine into “tabs” with a segmented control. Would be much nicer and easier to manage

Making OSC easy.

This app is quick and easy to set up, it’s not the most stylish and customisation is limited but if you want a really quick and easy way to setup basic custom OSC control templates and speed is more important than looks then this is a great app. It also has a editor that is actually nice to use on smaller screens like iPhone’s. If you want to make a your templates on just an iPhone without getting frustrated this app is a good choice.
If you are new to OSC this app is likely to be a good choice to help getting you using OSC, setup is very easy. Although for absolute beginners I would recommend 'Clean OSC with files' app by the same developer as it’s so cheap, crazy quick and easy to get going that anyone using OSC should have it anyway.
Would be great if this app had midi support too but unfortunately it doesn’t.

Awesome!

I love the approach to UI building, fast and effective – even if not customizable at the UI level.
