Good, but…
Like the game, but there’s a lack of diversity in the enemies. Also, when I try to use the rest function, when talking to the merchant, the game freezes please fix!!
Unique and Engaging
I had some real gripes about this game initially as someone who loves the source material (actual books). It was too much button mashing (hey, I loved Diablo 2 as much as anyone in its day). They’ve more or less created a “story mode” where you still can fight arcade-style, but really you can focus on the awesome story and listen to the author narrate the tale.

Glad to know it’s working now
I remember buying this game about a year ago and wasting $10 on it because it wasn’t working. There was glitch after creating your character where a cutscene wouldn’t load and the game was unplayable. It looks like that problem is fixed and i just wanted to thank the devs for finally fixing it. This game looked awesome and I was really sad I couldn’t play it but now I can and i’m really enjoying. I’m just glad that it finally works now.

Won’t work
Played game before with play store on old phone and loved it but it won’t start I’ll make my character skills and then just a black screen. I waited ten minutes and still just a black screen.

Good game, dysfunctional app
The game itself is great, but the app definitely needs more work. Even after restarting my device as recommended in the app description, the app only works for a few uses then crashes on startup. This is a very unfortunate issue that I’ve had on multiple devices
Can’t get past the character creation screen
I start the game, make my character selections, and then it freezes when I try to start.

After the rotation part of the character creation, app completely freezes or something. Want my money back...

It was a great game
I had this game years ago when it was owned by a different developer. It was great. But I can’t download that version anymore. So I re purchased it from this developer. The game never lets me get past the character creation stage. It has you rotate your phone to landscape and then does nothing. I couldn’t tell you for sure it is the same game I used to love or not. And based on other reviews the new developer/owner has no intentions of fixing the problem. Apple should remove it from the store since it doesn’t work.

Don’t know why but the game tells me to rotate to landscape and then fades to black never to return.
Do not buy until it’s fixed
So, purchased all the chapters of this game a few months ago. Great game and normally I would’ve given it 5 stars. However, recently as others have mentioned, the game crashes on startup. Multiple uninstalls/reinstalls later same thing. O, I’ve basically thrown my money down the toilet. Apple needs to look into this and provide refunds or at the least remove the game from the iOS store if the developers have stopped updating the game.

Crashing Issue too
The game was fun until it wouldn’t load. As stated elsewhere, the book opens to a white screen and crashes. Given the duration this issue has persisted and the few revisions, this app is not being maintained. Glad I didn’t spend money...
Lovely Book Inferface
I think the page designs are some of the most alluring out there. The metal clasp and leather strap overlays inspire me in my own designs.
I enjoy exploring through the codex and reading the history of characters and places. The accompanying artwork is wonderful and the animations are polished.
This game is a mix of 2D relaxed reading (with choices) and 3D intense fighting. The fighting is simple in the sense there are only a few moves to do but I find the timing and mechanics to be awkward.
Even on easy I somehow miss the swipes and taps. It’s frustrating to redo fights and I wish the easy ‘tell me a story’ mode could skip right through the stressful combat. If the combat were not timed that would at least help (if you wait too long looking at the moves you can do the monsters attack).
Overall, the app is presented well and enjoyable to journey through.

Awe inspiring journey
This simple yet extraordinarily deep game brings the player through a realistic and fantastical journey. The writing is well done and draws you in. The gameplay is fun and you find yourself craving more. And the music brings you into the world. Truly an epic game worth more than the purchase of the whole thing. Anyone who likes role playing, problem solving, and world building will find themselves having a great time with Joe Dever’s Lone wolf. This is not sponsored, I just like a good game, and this game is a symbol of the quality that should be in all IOS games.
