About

Every verse is a doorway. John 1:1 is a Bible reader built around the one thing other apps leave on the shelf: the connections. Beneath the text of Scripture lies a vast web — cross-references, shared people and places, echoes and prophecies — linking every verse to the rest of the Word. John 1:1 turns that web into the way you read. Open a verse and swipe sideways into a connection. Read down it, and it becomes your new center, its own connections branching out around it. Follow the thread from a promise in Isaiah to its fulfillment in the Gospels, from a name in Genesis to a genealogy in Matthew — verse to verse, across the whole of Scripture. It is the Bible the way it was always cross-woven, made to be explored. A NEW WORD EACH DAY Every morning, a verse chosen for you — salient to the season, rich with connections, and never one you've already seen. A daily invitation, not a notification you'll learn to mute. FIND ANYTHING Search by words, by what you're carrying, or jump straight to a passage. However you ask, the Word answers. BUILT TO BE KEPT Save the verses that stop you. Watch your reading grow — across the whole Bible, by testament, book by book. QUIET BY DESIGN • Reads fully offline — the entire Bible and its connections live on your device. • No account. No feed. No ads. We never track you. • Your saved verses and reading position stay on your phone. Multiple translations in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese — Berean Standard, King James, World English, and Luther 1912 — light and dark, all without a single sign-in. Read the Word, and follow where it leads.

Better connections. The links between verses have been re-ranked so the first one you see is the one worth seeing. A connection is now weighted by how much it actually evidences a link — a cross-reference compiled by scholars counts for more than a shared topic word — and a connection you can see in the text itself is preferred to one you can't. John 1:1 now opens on “His name is The Word of God,” Genesis 1:2 on “I looked at the earth, and it was formless and void,” and Genesis 22:8 on “Look, the Lamb of God.”
