Great Game with Room for Improvement
JohnMan is one of the better stickman-like platforming beat ’em ups on the App Store. As a huge fan of John Wick, I really appreciate the effort put into incorporating elements from the movie into this game.
The best part about JohnMan is the authentic and realistic moves, thanks to the game’s impressive physics engine. It really feels like I’m stepping into the shoes of John Wick with each fight. The music helps with this too, which is also amazingly down to match the theme of the underworld.
However, there are a few areas that need improvement. The microtransactions system is frustrating; I haven’t been able to purchase the no-ads option or buy any gems or gold coins, as the game doesn’t register my input at all.
Additionally, progressing through the game is becoming a grind. It’s challenging to move forward without replaying at least five levels to gather enough resources for upgrades to tackle the next stage.
I understand this game is relatively new, and I hope the developers address these issues soon. Despite these drawbacks, JohnMan has a lot of potential and offers a fun, action-packed experience.
