Me and my family use our Josh.ai system everyday and love it. It enhances how we interact with our home and we are always finding ourselves interacting in new ways. From using the built in chatGPT to being able to create our own customized scenes, Josh is the best control system we have owned. We can’t wait to see how Josh continues to evolve!!

Awesome and initiative app
I have switched from using the Control4 iOS app to Josh.ai for about 7 months. It is far superior from an end user experience. The app is quite flexible, visually stunning and well aligned with their other UI form factors (remotes).
The app is readily updated multiple times per month based upon customer feedback and internally driven priorities which is refreshing compared to some others I have used for extensive periods of times and testing.
Lastly, the ability to create, test and save scenes in seconds/minutes is a game-changer. This function has made the app and the system in my home much more engaging and pleasing to use.

Is Josh learning from me, or is it teaching me?
I like voice control and automation dealer said it works well with Lutron HomeWorks and Control 4. The dealer didn’t program the levels of the home in accordance with Lutron HW. Josh doesn’t allow the names to be changed. So identifying devices and rooms are not consistent across devices.
I have programmed some commands, which is cool and instructs Lutron devices. The bummer is Josh doesn’t consistently communicate the commands. This is especially true with shades controlled.
As for music, I find it confusing and even though I have Control 4 and Sonos, I don’t ever do music with Josh.
I do like how it works with lighting and levels.

Easy, elegant and powerful home control!
My entire family loves this app. We can control our homes from anywhere in the world, and easily switch between them. I love that I can create powerful scenes to make things magically happen based on time of day or any device within the home, such as a light or TV turning on.
Love the app, Music control needs work
This is a great app that makes controlling the home easy and intuitive. My only issue with it is controlling music and zones, it is very confusing and unintuitive compared to the likes of Sonos and others. If they improve this part of the interface, it’s a 5 star in my book.
New Update Not Great
Pretty smooth app overall, had a nice interface. With the most recent app though they moved the buttons near the top of the screen from the bottom. No idea why they would do that cause now you have to reach up with another hand to select the rooms or scenes unless you want to swipe 3-4 times. Just bad app design, it was fine before.

Convenience, Control and Fun
I liked using other voice assistants on my phone, and in the kitchen and office. But I love that Josh is a whole control system of its own. It works with speakers and Roku that I already had. Now I’m adding a smart thermostat for convenience and lighting control for more security and fun.
