About
Thoughts slip away fast. Jot It? is a note app where a blank page and a blinking cursor are waiting the moment you open it. No sign-in, no folders to pick, no save button.
■ Open and write
· Tap the icon and you are in a new note, keyboard up
· The first line becomes the title on its own
· Saved as you type — there is no save button
· Step away to another app and come back within 3 minutes: you are right where you left off
■ Nothing to decorate
· No bold, underline or checkboxes. Just your words
· Light (white paper) or dark (true black), sans, serif or mono, three text sizes — that is all the settings there are
■ Threads that keep a thought going
· When a new idea grows from an old note, keep writing under it. The original stays as it was, with the day you first wrote it
· A note you add to rises back to the top of the list
■ Tidies itself
· Write #word and it becomes a tag
· When a tag piles up (30 notes), older ones fold into a single line so the list stays light. Fresh notes never fold
· The list groups itself into Today, Yesterday, weekdays and months
■ Find
· The search box sits at the top of the list. Results filter as you type, with matches highlighted
■ Delete and undo
· Swipe left to send a note to Trash, with Undo right there
· Trash empties itself after 30 days
■ Your notes stay on your phone
· No account, no ads, no purchases
· The app has no internet permission. Notes live only on this device
· On a new iPhone, your iCloud backup brings your notes back
· Moving to or from Android? Send one backup file by AirDrop, message or email and open it there. Open it as often as you like — notes never double up
