Best lite journaling app
I love Jot. It's so easy to get to typing and it auto generates entries by the date you contribute. The quick access form factor has lent itself to creating many short entries that have more value than longer form entries in my last journal because they come closer to the moment.
Very quick to write a note
I really love the idea ๐ก to write what I want to speak down. This app is all what I need, it is also a great place to keep some secrets.
Great UX minus password
This journal app is actually really good and great for quick thoughts for people that need to jot something down and write more about it later.
The reason why I WON'T use it: my data doesn't sync anywhere. If I lose my phone, my thoughts are gone. Add in that functionality and I'll totally use this.
Another great and simple feature would be TouchID for getting access to your notes.
Overall great app and looking forward to watching it progress.

Good - but
JOT has great potential, but right now you can't delete, copy or paste.
Great experience, needs a few key features
I've used this app for several weeks now. The experience is smooth, it's enabled me to just write stuff down and not worry about organization. The main problem is that I can't copy anything in my notebook. If I wrote something down for later and want to use that text somewhere else it's not possible. This would be the first feature I would enable in the next version.

Update please
Missing important features such as, delete, edit, folders, camera, copy and paste.
Seriously?
No way to edit or delete items, or copy what you jotted to paste elsewhere? If I could just do those three things I'd give it five stars. Please ignore those whiners that want you to turn it into a word processor.
Great concept, missing a few things...
My intent for this is to jot down memories I don't want to forget quickly and effortlessly which this does. What I think it can use is more detailed date information and hopefully some sort of past memory's being brought up in the future to remember little things that happened on that day (or at least the option) looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Content is app only...
The UI is simple and clear. It offers a great layout and user experience. However, the content is held prisoner in the app. No copy and paste, no export. Who would commit to journal in an app that does not allow you to control your own content?
Really like it
But it needs some things. iCloud support, edit and delete entries, image support, option to not have a password/pin. Looking forward to more updates with these features added.
Edit: adding a search and having tagging would also be very helpful.

Simple and clear
Just what I needed to supplement my Evernote. However: GET RID of the passcode! At least give us an option! I don't need anything else. For me, removing the passcode would make it that much faster
Love it! But missing some features
Really great, I love the simplicity of it! Would love iCloud backup, a way to delete(possibly edit?) past posts, and change from their own number pad to the standard iOS number keyboard
This app rules
It's missing a lot of features (export? Sync? Post external via IFTTT or similar?) but it's gorgeous and it sounds like cool stuff is planned by the developer. Concept is refreshing.
Can't edit, delete, or even copy from notes once they've been saved
Interesting idea and somewhat novel UI/UX, but the lack of the features mentioned in my headline make it seem of very limited usefulness.
