Was great til stopped working

I purchased full version in August 2025. Used off and on in 2025. Then had a brief hiatus. Came back to use end of Jan. Recorded 5 min and nothing saved. Said there was a glitch. So re-recorded and got same results. Tried a third time doing something a little different but still no recording. Gave up. Just deleted the app 6 mo later and redownloaded and still same glitch. Waste of money.

You tried three times, deleted and reinstalled, and it still failed. You were right to call that a waste of money. The problem was Journo's server-side processing—not your phone or anything you did—and reinstalling could never have fixed it. That failure is fixed in the 2.0 update now live. Your recording is now saved to your phone before anything is uploaded, and a failed entry can be retried instead of disappearing. If your subscription is still active, it will work now. If you would rather request a refund, Apple handles those at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sorry it stayed broken for so long. — Mehul

Waste

I downloaded this app and voice journaled for 11 minutes and then it told me that there was an error processing so it just completely wasted my time.

Eleven minutes of talking and then nothing back is a real loss. “Waste of my time” was a fair description. The failure was on Journo's server: transcription was breaking, so the entry never came back to you. It is fixed in the 2.0 update now live. Your recording is now saved to your phone before anything is uploaded, so the audio survives a processing failure, and a failed entry can be retried instead of disappearing. None of that gives you back the eleven minutes. Sorry it cost you them. — Mehul

Doesn’t work and no support

Sadly it just doesn’t work correctly I asked for support after paying and got nothing from it… I’d avoid the hassle tbh

Rubbish

This app does not work. I got it because I prefer voice journaling to writing and this app initially worked… for like 1 week so I got the yearly sub and it just stopped working entirely. Do not get it

The best app

I downloaded this because of personal growth and sometimes writing it down makes my brain think too much that it doesn’t organically flow. So by talking and the app writing the journal entry for me and that it is free and simple to use. I can track my progress maybe capture some parts of me I can then unravel. I would recommend this app to anyone no matter what you want to use it for, that is personal to you. I’m grateful to find this app. Much love to the creators that made this free and easy to use.

Garbage

This app repeatedly loses my journals. 4 times out of 6 I’ve used it now. I payed for premium and want a refund. I reached out to them and heard nothing.

You were right about the app, and on top of that nobody answered you. Both of those were mine to own. Journo's server-side processing was failing, which is exactly why your journals disappeared. That failure is fixed in the 2.0 update now live. Your recording is now saved to your phone before anything is uploaded, so audio cannot be lost when processing fails, and a failed entry can be retried rather than disappearing. I cannot issue an App Store refund myself, but Apple can at reportaproblem.apple.com. A subscription that stopped delivering is a fair case to make. Best Journal app ever I swr

This app is actually crazy, if your like me and can’t really be bothered to type and rather just say what your thinking or reflecting on this is the app. It auto titles your voiced journal and the titles surprised me with how accurate they are. They all get kept in storage and they are private. This is the best journaling app I’ve used so far for my day trading and I’m really pleased with it, would recommend. 😊

Did not record

I pressed the record button talked about my day for a solid 3 minutes and then it just said something went wrong try again so i did like three other times but it came up with the same error message

Overall amazing app

This is literally my new favorite app besides social media lol, I love everything abt it except for one thing, I wish you could record for more than 3 minutes at a time but otherwise GREAT APP

Incredible, but shares deeply personal insights with advertisers

Amazing technology for which I’m happily paying. Unfortunately, their terms and conditions say the will share your deeply personal information with advertisers. That’s terrible and really makes trusting this impossible. A personal journal contains the most private data, such as health, political or data of intimate nature that must be protected.

Would give 5 stars if data privacy came first.

Hi, We do not share your data with any third party. It is only sent at the time of request to OpenAI to get the transcriptions for you. Also, as we do not require any signup, your data is completely anonymised.
