AWFUL

I have been in contact with them for almost two weeks about getting my money back. They basically said they don’t know why the app isn’t working(both of their apps). This app in particular never worked. Continues to say I need to purchase to access. I have sent them my receipts and they have now completely stopped responding. Not only that, it happened with their other app as well! The Montessori Preschool app. I’ll be reporting them to the better business bureau and disputing my charges. Do yourself a favor and get another app! ENOKI is not it!

So far not impressed

Unfortunately the app has several issues. One is the disjointed login process where App Store purchases are not recognised via the website - although this might just be an issue while setting up? IDK. However, I was immediately worried when the login section capitalised the first letter of my email address -while this has no affect on the login process it’s a sure sign that the app developers are not very experienced. The other issue is the inability to set the age/experience level - you have to slowly work your way up - which leaves kids feeling board and unchallenged. My son has also gotten himself stuck in the app with no way out - requiring a full app reset.

Basically the app offers little incentive (aka its not fun), its overly repetitive (repetition is great if the incentives change) & its over priced at $11.95 a month. I don’t understand why so many app developers think they can charge more than a streaming service and offer so little in return. Maybe my feelings will change - in which case I will update my review.

I would love to see an educational app that offered proper incentives to children - say a 30/70 or 50/50 mix of games and education. Your child does well and then gets to play a game that’s actually fun…. Repeat. With this sort of setup you might not have to force your kids to play!

Far far far away from being perfect

This app is far from being perfect. We purchased it for our 5 year old after purchasing the Montessori app from the same company. This app was more expensive, offered much less value. It’s extremely simplistic. You learn to spell the word, trace the word, rhyme the word, sort out similar consonant sounds. I thought to myself who can design an app so simplistic for 5 year old kids. I thought the only people who can do that are the French and I was right. So I contacted their support because a part of the app (tracing letters wasn’t working) it took me many weeks to get through to someone. This person is someone who would be described in French as une vraie menteuse - she lied to me on many occasions. Promised me the app would then work (it didn’t) offered me three months for free. Took her up on the offer. Then I got billed for both apps again (it’s advertised as a bundled offer) and then she apologised and said it wouldn’t happen again, it was the ‘processing dates’ guess what it just happened again. My guess is she will prepared to lie about it once again. Lying seems to come so easily to this Conpany. Even in her last email she wrote ‘I understand if you don’t want to trust us again’. As if to say that’s ok. They’ve just stolen money from a 5 year old child for a non working app. Because it has slipped through the Apple App Store process. Apple seen to think it’s ok. I as a parent together with my partner (the child’s mum) think this policy is outrageous. So be careful and watch the credit card statement for multiple billings from this dishonest company.

It’s perfect

I’ve been looking for a simple app to learn to read and this is just the one. It’s super easy to use, the characters take you through the games so it almost feels like an adventure. The fifth star is because this subscription gives you free access to Montessori Preschool which is a goldmine of activities.

No full access with Montessori subscription.

App will let my child play for a few minutes then constantly asks for us to pay for a subscription. I have already paid for Montessori and do not intend to pay for second app. Please stop advertising that this is included with Montessori subscription because it is NOT and that is false advertising. Read other reviews. Everyone is complaining about the same issue.
