Helpful for judo basics
This app is very handy to review and memorize the information for the written test part of USJA’s belt promotion system. It also has video of every throw in the go kyo and lots of ground techniques too.
My only complaint with the app is the intro transition effect at the start of every demonstration video, as I find it very distracting, especially when looping the video to try and look at details. It would also be amazing if we could get multiple angles for the tachi waza in a future update.
All in all this is a great, not to mention free, app to help you learn the judo basics.

New JudoPedia
I had to sign back in after the new format. To say the least, I was very disappointed. I understand how much work went into it, but come on, Kodokan videos were dropped for videos done at an MMA gym. The previous Kodokan format was awesome as it was a 360 view to include slow motion. Kodokan is the EXPERT on judo, why would you not keep it as your source. I won’t be using the app anymore and will advise my students not to bother. Good luck.

Great app but glaring problem
The names of the throws are partly visible. They need blacked out. Also there is an issue with scoring the quizzes. It logs correct answers as incorrect and vice versa. Like literally it says I answered throws that were never even options.
Won’t let me do anything
I have tried deleting and downloading it again and trying to sign up multiple times and it won’t let me get past the sign in screen. I have tried creating an account and it won’t allow me to create an account. I’ve also tried resetting my password in case I had an account already, and still no such luck getting into the app.

Thank you for your feedback. We are in the process of upgrading the app with lots of great features and new content and it appears that in the process, the new registration flow was corrupted at some point. We will have someone look at this right away and fix it. In the meantime email us as info@lotuswebsites.com and we will setup a login for you manually so you don't have to go through the registration process.
Excellent for test prep
This app is exactly what I’ve been looking for to help me prepare for my judo tests. Very organized and easy to navigate. Thanks
