Great App, if only it worked
This app is a great idea, but it doesn’t work…at all. Won’t play from the playlist to keep music going, won’t even play requested songs.
Great when it works
Unfortunately it doesn’t. Can’t get it to start playing music. Too bad, it’s a great idea.
Want to use but no autoplay makes it difficult
Has great potential if it would actually autoplay from the preload playlist you select when no requests are playing. Without that feature you have to spend an hour preloading requests to keep the music on, then your guests requests don’t come to the top of the queue. Usually it’s a good idea to make sure your few core features work fully before you ship an app!

Fun app
Great app. Worked great at our party. Gave 3 stars because the auto play of silent feature does not work. If that gets fixed it’s a 5 star app.
Great start but needs a few more things
It is a great start to this app, used it multiple times for a few BBQ’s at my house. Needed to preload the party queue myself with songs the days before in order to have constant music playing. The preload a playlist idea when no music is playing has not worked.
Would also like to see a Apple car play option as this would be a great idea for road trips with friends. Would need to keep the driver in mind as he would not be able to select songs from his phone to play. So maybe have a song rotate in from his set playlist every rotation between everything else being played by others?

Won’t play from playlist and won’t play on Sonos
Same issue. When que ends nothing plays. Also lab to force people to play from playlist doesn’t work even with 100+ song playlist.
Also can this app be played through Sonos system?

Playlist problem
It works perfectly apart from the small fact that you can’t have a playlist to have recommendations from and to continue playing from if there is nothing in the queue.
Love it except one important thing
Love the app, but the host playlist to play when nothing is playing won’t ever work.
Autoplay Doesn't work
Auto play if silence doesn't work unless a song has been requested. Kinda makes it pointless to use as a Jukebox.
Broken and no app support
No longer auto plays from a Spotify premium playlist. No support on website.
Can’t login, session expires immediately
I played around with this app for hours and couldn’t login to an iPhone or iPad. Don’t waste your time like I did!

Great idea! I was planning on making an app like this!!!
Setup was easy and I like the web app option as well.
The only thing that would make this better would be if it allowed you to select different playback devices so I can use it with my sonos speakers without an aux cable.

How do I get my host iOS device to stream on chromecast?
Used to be great, now just trying to rob you
This used to be a great fun way to play music with friends during a party. However, they recently updated everything so now you have to pay to get “votes” or to request songs. They also force you to download the app now instead of accessing a website. What’s worse, you have to download two separate apps if you want to host a party and be able to add songs to your own party! Totally takes advantage of the user and makes a very annoying experience for our party guests. We’re moving to a new app.

Hey Carwheel88, sorry you haven't had a great experience with the new Jukestar. Just a quick clarification: Guests also earn free tokens every minute. So every 15 minutes each guest will have been able to request 3 new songs or vote on 7 songs (or a combination of this) for free. We have carefully designed the token levels so guests can still have an awesome time for free.
Great app - need some customization options
Guest webapp supports multiple OS and it’s really easy to use.
Host app works great, but could have more flexibility:
- Restrict the guest request list only to a pre-defined playlist
- Add an option to delete a party
- Generate a QRCode for easy sharing
- Possibility to add local music from the host device

Forget making playlists
Crowdsource your party playlists and put the power of a jukebox in your attendees hands. Only recommendation is to allow for fade out/in of songs. Great app for anyone who hosts parties.
Awesome... just one tweak
I really love the idea of this app and I'm keen to use it for an upcoming party... and maybe my wedding at the end of the year. The only thing it's missing is the ability to cross fade between tracks. Is the feature in the pipeline?
Every household and office needs this app
Making playlists (for the office or my home) was a PITA until a coworker turned me onto Jukestar.
