Misprint on back on The new Dollar coin . Hope / Glad it's not in circalation yet.

CDN Currency Issues

It is annoying that the CDN currency is an in-app purchase while other currencies are included but I purchased with this knowledge. The silly thing is that the app shows the back sides of coins as well as the front, which in Canada all show the queen. It is thus very difficult to differentiate between nickels and quarters (unless both are shown for size comparison). Questions β€œSuch as slide all of the nickels to one side.” when no quarters are shown become entirely frustrating for children (and adults trying to help).

Response from developer

Canadian coins are included in the app for Canadian users, as of version 7.33, which was released February 13, 2015. Many schools in Canada are using Jungle Coins with the Canadian coins. I appreciate the feedback on the coin differentiation - you can see the other side of a coin by flipping it (tap on any coin).

Educational and Fun app

As with the other "Jungle" apps, this is one that we use every day. Our DD's coin-counting skills have really improved and she's become more careful generally (because we set the five-in-a-row correct "congratulations" message as her goal, she seems to get the right amount of practice).

The coins look right, the sound effects are great, and the jungle sounds and animal noises are fun. (The only change I'd like is to set a greater number of correct answers for the "congratulations" message, but that's minor).

The ability to customize the number of consecutive correct answers for the Congratulations screen was added in version 7.34, which was released March 5, 2015

No Sound

I just downloaded this app based on all the great reviews and awards, and while it appears that it will be a good app to help my child learn there is NO SOUND. I have confirmed sound is on in settings, I have verified my iPad's sound is on, but still nothing! Very disappointing. I'm giving it a 1-star for now until I can get the sound to work.

**Updated. While the sound worked in all my other Apps, I found that I needed to reset the Mute option in my settings for this App's sound to work.

This was fixed in version 7.41 which was released September 19, 2015.

Money Work

This app does a great job of teaching children all about coins. Options are for learning coin names and values, identify, add, make change are excellent. Adult options include edit coin combinations per level, choice of currency, difficulty options.

Graphics, actions, and sounds are engaging for children. I've found that my students are interested in receiving the in app praise and rewards. Students stamina using this app has increased from needing to work side by side with adult and strong guidance to ability to use app independently away from adult.

The app is very easy for adults and children to navigate. The set up is self explanatory and easy to set up for many students. Students are easily able to move through the app without difficulty once shown how it works.

I highly recommend this app to parents and teachers. It is inexpensive and highly effective.

Tracks multiple users on new update

A wonderful app just got even better. One of the most responsive app developers did it again! You can now track the progress of different students, what a terrific addition. Thanks!!!!!

Great Money Practice

This is definitely one of my favorite Apps for kids. My 2 and 5 year old are learning to identify and count the coins. They love it!

Contagious Counting App

This Money app is a money maker!! My stepson Corbyn has visual impairments and has trouble distinguishing the coins. This app will tell you what the coin is when you touch it or move it. My after school tutoring students tried this app to review making change and had rave reviews! Lots of choices for the settings and way in which it will benefit your child the best. Thanks again Andrew! ---Staci Wolfe

great app

love the use of realistic looking coins. My daughters with special needs have never been able to learn the different coins...but with this app they are matching and learning the names and are asking to play it over and over again. Thank You for making this app!!!

Awesome

I LOVE this app for my students!!! I teach students with cognitive impairments and autism in the elementary setting. Students that wanted nothing to do with learning money have loved progressing in this app. There are several levels and skills so it has the capability to work for kids with a wide range of abilities. Best money app that I have found!!! I was having an issue with my ipad and the support I got for this app was extremely prompt and helpful. The jungle apps really stand by their product!! I also love and would recommend Jungle Time!!!

This App has a lot of nice features that Asa teacher I can really appreciate. I like the ability to customize activity levels, learn the coins etc. I like that it keeps data on accuracy. You can turn off features you do not want such as sounds. To move to the next question you have to shake the device. If there was a way to disable this and touch a button to go to the next question or have it automatically change once your answer has been checked I would rate the app even higher. Call me picky but I do nor want students shaking my iPad as they might sling it instead.

Shake was removed in version 2.0, which was released September 25, 2011.

K-4 special Ed teacher

I am a resource room teacher for students of various levels and abilities. This app along with fractions and time are great reinforcements in supporting my students' IEPs. There are various levels to differentiate for all my students. I would recommend this app for children who are having trouble with counting money or just need a little review.

Fun and Effective Learning!

My kids love these Jungle apps and so do I as a parent. I've bought dozens of educational apps and Jungle Time, Jungle Fractions, and Jungle Coins are among my favorites. They make learning interactive, fun, and visually intuitive. They teach the basics and then some with graphics and games that are simple but pleasing and interactive. In addition, the updates make these apps increasingly polished and functional. Keep up the great work and please make more.

Awesome

Very realistic coins - great for concrete learners. Progression occurs in small steps which can be controlled by the adult. Good variety of activities.

Jungle Coins

Jungle Coins is designed for one user. I would love to use this with my classroom and track individual student progress for 20.

Another hit!

I have purchased the last two of this developer's applications and my nephews have absolutely loved them all. This one was no different. I love how this application is marrying practical skill learning with graphics and sounds that keep my nephews engaged long enough to learn...it's a beautiful combination!

Excellent

This is excellent practice for coin recognition. As an educator I have noticed that the recognition piece is all about repetition but as we know there are only a few ways to make this fun. Well my son who is 5 had a ball with this not even knowing he was learning all of the coins. My seven year old for the first started to understand the value of the coins because again he was engaged and wanted to keep playing. Congratulations on a wonderful app! Highly recommended.
