Great news source, but…
Reporting is balanced and fair. The app itself is clean and easy to navigate, however it lacks many features like read aloud, comment, and save articles. Also cannot create accounts if not subscribe to a plan. Overall the news is good, but the app can be improved.
Scammers
This app has become useless. I can’t read a single article without pop up’s interrupting me. When you try to close these pop ups, they send you to a warning that your iPhone is infected. The only thing you can do is close the app and reopen it. Then it starts all over again. You’re only getting one star because there is no option for zero.

“App” runs Spyware on your Devie
This app used to let me read news articles unhindered. But recently it starts running spyware “scans” without even touching a link. And it pops up little window ads that I have to touch the “X” in the corner to close out. It’s like playing wack-a-mole on steroids. Then it takes over the entire screen pretending to run a virus scanner. I have to close out the app and start it again. Then it kicks in and starts to run another spyware “scan”. I can’t even read the news anymore using this app. I like John Solomon, but does he know that his app is totally rife with spyware and spam? Is there a different app available that has no spam and spyware that I can read ‘Just The News’ news articles? Otherwise, I going to have to remove this app from my phone.

Pop-ups will kill you!
I really enjoy the substance in writing of the articles at Just the News, but there are so many pop-ups on this app that you can rarely read more than about two lines at a time. It’s barely worth having the app

Very hard to use this app. Way too many ads and click bait. So frustrating to scroll through and ad for every paragraph or two. John Solomon is sharp but his app isn’t worth the click bait infestation.

I love the news but Soooo many ads. “Just the News” should be called “Just the Ads”. Pop up ads, ads at the top, ads before the news, ads after the news, if you want to read the full article, yep, MORE ADS. Clickbait absolutely everywhere. I just couldn’t take it anymore. I had to delete it.

However we really do NOT LIKE this APP.. super spammy .. when I look at my iPhone “APP PRIVACY REPORT” under JUST THE NEWS I see a ton of Ad stuff attaching it self to my phone .. I know John Solomon and Team rightly need to make money .. but this is not good .. now we are getting into security issues with this app. // Also do NOT like the video that pops up when you first go on to JUST THE NEWS as the video has nothing to do with the actual content on that page.. .. I wrote to JUST THE NEWS a while back on their website and shared my feedback .. as I hope they can get a new site and app.. Anyway.. thanks for all your hard work John Solomon & Team .. I like John Solomon
But this app is unusable. It’s just ads over ads. You can’t read any news. I suppose you could consider it a game app. If you manage to figure out how to hide enough ads you win one news article. But read it fast cause a new ad pop up is going to cover it fast!
Tired of Fighting
I am weary of trying to read the news while fighting pop ups and ads. The screen is constantly reloading, making it impossible to keep track of what you are looking at. I don’t care how wonderful your news is, I refuse to fight with an octopus to try to read it.
Idea is good, ads mar the execution
UPDATE: This app is STILL horribly designed and marred by intrusive, overbearing ad design. It is virtually impossible to actually get to and read content (which is very good). I’ve virtually given up on using this app and will delete from my phone since it is unusable In it’s current state. Use as a largely ad blocking browser instead to read content without the interference of cheap, tacky ads. It’s sad. Great content that is almost impossible to read. Yes, they need revenue, but the app design promotes a horrible user experience.
The idea of Just the News is wonderful. However, the user experience is truly horrible, marred by a bombardment of ads that prevent you from reading and enjoying the stories. I’m terrified to navigate to get to an article because the pages seem to be one gigantic click-bait page. Truly horrible. I understand it’s a way to try to generate revenue. I truly do understand. On other apps/websites I’ll periodically click on an ad that interests me to help the owner/developer. But Just the News is awful. I’ll likely delete it from my phone because it’s so hard to get to the articles I’m interested in.

Intrusive ads ruin the site.
I installed this app so that I could get straight news from John Solomon's news site. I respect his efforts to get out news the liberal industrial complex hides. I'm sad to say I've deleted it because of the pop up floating ads. They are Intrusive and block content. When i try to click on the x to delete them, you often end up on the adds site. Sitting through all this advertisement is tedious. I'm using MXM instead.

It would be nice for the readers if the Editor of Just The News would proofread their reporters grammatical errors, spelling errors, and just plain words usage errors!!
Or is "Just the News" afraid of the Cancel Culture canceling them.

Ads cover text
The site’s ads are highly intrusive and cover the text completely. Worse, there’s no way to close the ads.
Ads are hurting your login/signup experience
I just downloaded your app with great interest after following a link from Truth Social—John Solomon? After reviewing a sample newsletter, I wanted to sign up. There were so many ads – big ads intrusively blocking my effort I gave up. Was this intensional? Never mind. Now I see why your app download numbers are so low. I loved the reading though. Sad.

Advertising overload
So much advertising, it actually makes the phone overheat and a hard boot is needed to clear it out. Can read about 3 articles if you can get through the constant ads and then have to close and boot. Was excited to see it available… not worth the download

Way too many pop up ads
It’s extremely challenging just to get to the story, particularly on the breaking news headlines. Respect the journalism but not the annoying and interfering ads.
Those pop-ups just keep on coming
This is good solid news only thing is it’s chock-full of pop-ups that make it quite annoying I was on the verge of uninstalling it because of the pop-ups you need good finger dexterity to navigate the pop-ups
Pop Up’d to Death
The App is unusable because you’re constantly barraged by pop up ads that render the story not worthy of reading for the hassle of the advertising.

I like listening to John’s podcasts so O downloaded this app. I deleted the app within 5 minutes. Way too many ads and pop ups. At times, it was somewhat difficult to distinguish between Just The News and Just The Ads. Terrible app! I’ll stick with the audio podcasts.
