Amazing: the App and Dev
I was looking for a timer app that could do what this could. I didn’t mind paying, as long as it wasn’t a subscription.
I quickly realised that the app was missing a history, most of the ones I was considering had a history feature, but also inappropriately heavy subscription fees.
I wrote Aaron and asked if he was going to add a history feature. He said he would if there was demand, AND THEN WENT AHEAD AND WROTE SCRIPTS/SHORTCUTS FOR ME THAT GAVE ME A HISTORY!!!!
Only the last one but believe me that is all I needed. This guy is a genius.
The simple fact that he left this app open to so much customisation and possibility just blew me away.

Best Timer App that Syncs Across Devices
I’ve really enjoyed using Just Timers — the ability to sync timers and their states across my devices is exactly what I needed, and it’s become a key part of my productivity system. The design is clean and it feels lightweight but powerful.
One feature I’d love to see on the Mac app is the option to have a timer appear directly in the menu bar. That would make it much easier to glance at the remaining time without needing to keep the main window open, and it would fit perfectly with how I (and I imagine many others) use timers during work sessions.
Thanks for building such a great app — it’s already a big help for me, and adding menu bar support on Mac would make it even better.

Excellent app - rare timer non-data collector
Rare timer non-data collector
Timer continues and continues to open shortcuts
The repeat function is off and yet after the timer goes off the first time and opens a shortcut, it will run the same short cut repeatedly. The repeat function is off. All the functions are off except the run shortcut.

Notifications just won’t stop
Paid for Tier 2. After a timer completed, the notifications would just not stop. They kept coming and coming, no matter what I did. I acknowledged the notification. Stopped the timer. Ultimately I just had to delete the app to get it to stop.
Too many problems
The app has the potential to solve multiple problems including the lack of iCloud syncing in the native timer app. The problem is that the app in its current state is underdeveloped. There are too many problems. For one thing the timer doesn’t sound if your device is on silent mode. This alone is a deal breaker for me. The settings are not straight forward and there’s a bit of a learning curve. There’s no way to set a default sound I’m finding myself changing the alarm sound each time I set a new timer. The iCloud sync feature did not reliably work for me in the couple of trials I had. I paid for tier 2 in the spirit of supporting the developer as they seem to be active and working on the app. I’m sure it will one day get there!

Looks good, several breaking issues
I wanted a timer app that helps me keep track of small workout intervals, and this looked great. It feels very modern-iOS as you swipe around it, but in real usage it seems extremely buggy:
* After upgrading to the interval functionality, I had it restore stock timers. Then when I tried deleting the ones I don’t need, it started flipping out: appearing to delete timers I wanted to keep, then showing them again after I deleted the next one. Very confusing. After a quit and restart, the stock timers were all back.
* tried defining an interval timer and had to go back to messages to check some details; the interval sheet I’d started to fill out was gone and all my progress was lost.
That was all before I’d even seen a timer in action.
I’m happy for everyone that says they like and use this app, but at breakage this basic a level, i can’t see myself trusting it enough to sink more time into using it.

The watch app is broke
It's basically unusable on the watch. It actually just went off even though I haven't used the app in at least two days and the complications won't show correctly, amongst other things. The phone app seems fine however.

Does everything I need very well
I’ve tried lots of timer apps and this one hits the sweet spot. Plenty of configuration options but not too many and all well thought out and easy to use. There seems to be an issue with the Watch app at the minute but I assume that’s down to the recent WatchOS update and hope that the developer will fix it soon. It would also be nice to have an option to quickly create and start a one-off, self-destructing timer and it would also be good if tapping a button on a Live Activity for a running timer didn’t launch the app 🙂

2. Upgrading is cheap ($5 one-time purchase), and in return you get interval timers and URL Call backs
3. The best shortcut integration out of any timer app. You can start, stop, restart, create, etc
Best part, developer is still updating and is active. I found this app, because I saw the dev respond to someone’s reddit post about wanting a timer that does xyz.

Update: App is a little glitchy but functional
Update: I imported V2 timers as mentioned on the app description page, which did restore my old timers.
The app behavior isn’t always consistent (for example, I just deleted a couple of timers, which then almost immediately un-deleted themselves upon app re-launch). I have had difficulty resetting timers in the past (like via my Apple Watch).
This app doesn’t collect personal info like other multitimer apps in the market, so it’s worth dealing with.

First: I apologize for piling on with the negativity. I was out of line.
So, after beta testing and trying both of your official releases of 2.x and 3.x, I found that it wasn’t remotely similar to the original release, which I had just paid for at the time, years ago. After the 2.0 release came out, I was bothered that it wasn’t anything like what I had just paid for. Never mind the bugs. I have realized that this just isn’t the right app for me anymore, and I took my issue out on you, the developer, who is clearly trying their best.
With your latest release, I did not give it a fair chance and rated it unfairly.
I do believe this is the right app for A LOT of people. That said, I have a suggestion that I think will be helpful for everyone, both old and new users alike. Premade templates of all of the different types of timers the app offers. The screenshot of the multicolored timers in the App Store, looked very appealing. However, between the learning curve and the time it takes to create these from scratch, the task can seem overwhelming. At the very least, clear explanations of how each setting should behave, tips to generate the different timers, and contradictions we may run into would be HUGE.
Especially with the symbol-only settings. It’s possible that what many perceive as bugs are from an incorrect expectation of how each setting is to act.

Same for the onboarding process, I'd like to go more into more detail but could use some help finding those rough spots that need explaining. V3 makes a big difference
Version 3 is much more performant, less buggy, and seems not to consume battery despite widgets and live activities. Really appreciating the upgrade so far

Once again, the app had a major update without warning. And once again, the major update broke the app.
As soon as the new update was installed, I received 70-plus (!) notifications that timers had run. Thankfully, I have notifications set to summarise per app, so I didn’t get 70+ separate ones.
But then I opened the app and found my saved timers had all been activated, and all been changed and their duration was now about 3,400 minutes.
And then when I ran a timer, timers still went off if I stopped them early.
This is the second major update, that has left me feeling like I’ve paid to be a beta tester.
V1 of this app became invaluable to me. Now I can’t use it. Again.
And even if it the current load of bugs are fixed, I can no longer trust the dev will not break the app in the future.

It quickly became indispensable to managing my severe ADHD because it allowed users to stop timers via Siri and Shortcuts and would send out notifications in the background. The few similar interval timer apps that offer Shortcuts control only allow timers to be started. But version 2 is bug-ridden. Problems have included my library of stored timers being deleted (breaking a couple dozen Shortcuts and automations I used to manage my ADHD); a dozen copies of the same timer being created that crash-quit the app when you try and delete them; the Shortcuts command running timers that haven’t been selected; and the latest being timers going off five minutes early and showing the wrong notification message. v2 shouldn’t have been released in this state - users should not pay for an app only to end up being beta testers - but it’s still the only interval timer app that fits my needs. My only options now are waiting to see if v3 (if it’s ever released) will be as reliable and v1 was, hope another dev includes “stop” in their interval timer’s Shortcuts options, or learn how to code and write my own interval timer app.

Lot of bugs
Concept is great, but I’ve run into so many bugs in the first few hours of using that it’s essentially un-usable. Negative timers, alerts not going off, timers with intervals spontaneously resetting to the beginning, etc. I do need a timer app with shortcuts integration so I hope this one improves.
