As someone who has spent a lot of time creating what I call Fabric Prints (Surface Designs) with A technique I invented to create pattern designs, I find this app, extraordinary in a way that absolutely compliments the way that I Create Fabric Prints, with the unique ability to Create Absolutely stunning animation (Time Lapses) of each of the design creating hundreds
of patterns based on (one) element, creating an entire family of patterns based on One Photographic Element of my artworks, designs and photographic elements. I Greatly enjoy using this app to compliment My Artworks.

Good app that can create some interesting results.
Product feature request to developer: Please add the ability to change one additional parameter, specifically the reference photo’s position.
This would be useful for providing more refined control over the output and may, accordingly, produce less stagnant general output.

So happy this exists. Phone feels too corporate. Nice to be able to distort reality with it. Makes me feel like I’m looking at something I’m not supposed to be allowed to look at, like I’m about to be smited by Zeus🥲

Troubling news
I've been having fun with Kaleidacam for years. I recently upgraded my phone to iOS 26, and there's a problem: when I try to open an image from my photos, about half the time the screen goes black, and I have to dismiss the app and launch it again. I went to the Kaleidacam website and used the Contact link to send them an email message about this. It bounced, 'No such user.'
Now I'm wondering whether there is anyone left at the developer, and whether the app is going to stop working at some point. That would be a shame, as there doesn't seem to be a good alternative.

I do worry about it having some glitch issues because I’ve had them happen a few times - freezing and closing after a few seconds or just closing when I try to snap a photo. I’ve had to delete the app - wait a week or so and reinstall.
I’m gonna pay for the extras - not that I need them but to support it and hopefully I get to continue using it!
I love it- one of the best things I can use on my phone!

Any way to lock in place before saving?
It’s the only other necessary feature I can think of and it would be perfect. 🙏
Also, I discovered a two-finger tap/(hold?) function in the default kaleidoscope mode that appears to switch/transition something?. (Not zooming(changing multiplier format) btw. I’m wondering what does it do, if anything?

No 6-sided option
Traditional kaleidoscopes are based on hexagons (6 mirrors in a cylinder). Why doesn’t this app offer a hexapart option?

The ability to create unique and memorable visual effects. The endless combinations that can be done with this app is astonishing. I've always enjoyed fractal and fractal apps. And using this app has allowed me to take a more hands on approach to the ever expanding world of the fractal experience. with trademark blend of lasers and smoke, I have been able to use KaleidaCam for a visual enhancement that I had only before dreamt possible.
I would give this app a perfect five star. Unfortunately, you're not able to use video mode which has forced me to use screen recording for my videos. I also think the app could offer more but I'm not really sure what I just feel like it's a treasure trove waiting to be discovered.
