Kalkan: Spam SMS & Call Filter

Kalkan is a spam shield that sorts unwanted texts by their content, right on your iPhone, and blocks calls only from the numbers you choose. It collects no data and never connects to the internet. WHERE DO TEXTS GO? • Betting, scam, fake-delivery, loan and phishing texts → Messages › Filters › Junk • Campaigns and discounts → Promotions (Offers, Coupons) • Bank alerts, delivery and appointment messages, verification codes → Transactions • Messages are never deleted; they are only moved to the matching list. HOW IS IT DECIDED? Kalkan has no built-in, downloaded or crowd-reported list of phone numbers. Every decision is made on your device using three criteria: • Smart packs: signals for illegal betting, loans and debt, scams and phishing, Turkish commercial messages (İYS), English spam and suspicious links (shortened links, links to raw IP addresses, links from personal mobile numbers). Each signal adds points; when the total reaches the threshold of your chosen sensitivity, the message is moved to that list. • Your own rules: by sender, keyword or regular expression — Junk, Promotion, Transaction or Allow. • Verification-code protection: one-time codes never end up in Junk. The in-app "How filtering works" screen lists every phrase, point value and threshold each pack uses. The Test screen shows where any message would go — and why. CALLS • Blocks only the numbers you add, or ranges such as 0850 222 XX XX. • Give numbers your own caller ID labels; they appear when those numbers call. • Kalkan never adds numbers to these lists by itself. MORE • Attack mode: the strictest setting for 1, 8 or 24 hours during a spam wave. • Quiet hours: stricter filtering during the hours you set. • Back up and restore your rules and number lists. PRIVACY Kalkan collects no data and sends nothing to any server. No ads, no analytics, no accounts. It never accesses your contacts. NOTES • The built-in packs are tuned for Turkish text messages, plus an English spam pack. Your own rules work in any language. • iOS never shows texts from your contacts to filter apps; those always arrive in your inbox. • iOS does not block calls from numbers saved in your contacts or numbers you called recently. • Turn on the text filter in Settings › Apps › Messages › Unknown & Spam, and call blocking in Settings › Apps › Phone › Call Blocking & Identification.
