Kamry : Clever AI Keyboard

Kamry is a keyboard first. It types like the system keyboard, corrects like it, and gets out of the way. Hold the space bar and it becomes an AI assistant that already has your text. If you have tried an AI keyboard before, found it typed badly and switched back, this was built for you. TYPING THAT DOES NOT FIGHT YOU The layout is measured from the system keyboard, sampled pixel by pixel at 3x: key height, row pitch, gaps, side insets, corner radius, and the size step on larger iPhones. Your thumbs land where they expect to. Every key's tap area extends into the gaps around it, so a tap between two keys types the nearer one. No dead zones. Autocorrect and predictions run against a 210,000 word dictionary, memory mapped rather than parsed, about 1.2 milliseconds per suggestion on a background thread. The letter appears before any of that starts, and none of it needs a network. Backspace undoes a correction. It learns word pairs you type often, but only pairs where both words are already in the bundled dictionary, so names, numbers, passwords and handles are never recorded. Nothing is learned in password, secure, email, URL or numeric fields. You can switch it off, and delete any pair. Also: emoji search by meaning, currency keys set by your locale, double-tap space for a full stop, automatic capitalisation, word delete, long-press accents, haptics, and light or dark to match the app you are in. HOLD THE SPACE BAR Tap it for a space. Swipe sideways to move the cursor. Hold it for about a second and the keys slide away, revealing a panel that already holds the text from the field you were typing in. Five actions. Answer does what the text asks, or answers the question in it. Rewrite. Fix handles spelling, grammar and punctuation. Reply turns a received message into a reply. Shorten. The result replaces what you wrote or goes in after it. Requests run in the background, so typing never waits, and dismissing the panel cancels it. SKILLS ON A LONG PRESS A skill is a small tool you bind to a long press on a key. Hold that key and the skill's icon appears where the letter preview would be, so you see it before you let go. Nothing is on by default. Text leaves the device in one situation only: when you deliberately invoke AI, by opening the panel or running a skill marked Uses AI. Only the text in the field at that moment is sent. Nothing goes out in the background or on a schedule, and no server of ours receives what you type. AI requests go to Google Gemini or OpenRouter. No analytics, attribution or crash reporting SDKs. No advertising identifiers, no tracking. Full Access is needed for AI and haptics, because iOS blocks the network and the Taptic Engine without it.
