This is the best app I have ever used for learning kanji . But it has problems with the update. I wish they could fix it . It doesn’t download bundles

This app has been extremely useful as I practice hiragana.
Great for learning vocabulary
This app focuses on kana and vocab, doesn’t really have grammar lessons though. I love to use it for learning vocabulary. They only have one vocab pack for free which is greetings, but I am tempted to buy the other packs because they’re pretty cheap! I like the learning style because it makes you type out the whole word in Japanese rather than just picking multiple choice like other apps. Definitely recommend this.

Great app
I use this app on a daily basis and is helping me a lot. Although I wish it was easier to add new characters to the practice section and its also missing a couple of things.

Great App!
I like to use this app when I’m waiting for something. It keeps my mind active. I like that if you use it in the correct mode it will track what you’re struggling with so you can improve! I create mock exams and move through them as quickly as I can and I haven’t seen that option with other apps! Try it out!

blank cards and crashing
Before their recent update everything was fine, but now whenever I practice I get blank cards and when i try to send the answer it automatically crashes. overall this app usually works well! a really great way to learn katakana and hiragana. it’s a better way than using flash cards because they use a method where you type the answers and if you get it wrong they make retype the correct answer. probably the best app if you’re a beginner or are trying to refresh since a lot of Japanese learning apps will let you study only a couple of the characters and force you to pay for the rest of them. i definitely recommend this, i just wanted to drop a review so maybe the developers could fix the problem since they might not know. this really helps for my japanese tests since i’m a beginner :)
edit: since they allowed the srs method on the hiragana and katakana, whenever i study from that method it crashes.

Hello Arizzacami, thank you for letting us know of your issues. Sadly the update have brought some issues, we hope we can help you solve them. The blank cards may be due to the database update. You will need to download the bundles that you previously downloaded to update your local database. If you only downloaded the free bundle, just go to the Vocabulary tab and click on it to download again. If you bought some bundles before, go to Settings tab and click on "Restore purchases". Once your local database is refreshed, everything should work again! Please let us know if you managed to fix it. You can send us an email at contact@koridev.fr if you need anymore help. PS: In last resort, uninstalling and reinstalling the application should clean everything, but you would lose your savings.

Perfect kana learning tool
I learned hirigana and katakana using in a week with this app while riding the metros in Japan. I relearned them many times since then (it's surprising how fast they leave your memory when not studied ...) and I've used this app every time. I never used any of the other features, like the vocal stuff (I use other resources for learning for the language) but this is the perfect starting point.
Other kana apps tend to provide a few options for the answer instead of allowing you to type in the answer. This has a negative impact on learning since more often than not you can "cheat" (e.g. I know this character has a K sound and only one of the possible answers does so it must be that one). Typing in the answer from scratch forces you to truly learn each and every kana.
I recommend going from top to bottom, studying a row, practicing it a few times, practicing it in combination with a few other rows, and then practicing all the rows you know together. If you struggle with getting two kana confused, practice only those two rows until you've got them sorted out.

Like the quiz functionality, wish there were audio!
You can individually select groups of hiragana / katakana to learn, or quiz yourself on all of them. I wish there were audio for the pronunciations. Also, I wish the correct answer was shown in bigger text if you get a question wrong. Finally, it might be nice to be able to select individual kana, tho that's not super important. Over all a very polished app.

Great flash cards app with some intelligence
Memorizing new writing systems is one of the hardest aspects of learning a language like Japanese, so these adjustable quizzes are just what I needed if I want a quick practice on the go. Finding time to do drills can be challenging, so being able to duck in and duck out works really well. I'll be honest I'm not at the point yet where I have touched the vocab section, but it looks even larger in scope than the hiragana and katakana sections, so I'm looking forward to it. I may even buy some of the vocab packs early just to support the developers.
Please note: this app will not teach you Japanese from scratch; that is not its goal. It is however a fantastic teaching aid that you should highly consider if you are in the beginning stages of learning Japanese.
Constructive feedback: the vocab section does seem a bit more complicated and it goes into excruciating detail about their process. While that's commendable, perhaps a more simplified approach would prevent people who aren't also academic from potentially being scared off by words like rubric. 😉

great for learners and reviewers!
this app lets you select which kana you want to quiz yourself over, which is exactly what I was looking for in a kana app. overall a great app, and no ads! the only problem is the lack of sound, so make sure to supplement your learning with an auditory resource.
Really good for learning both hiragana and katakana
This app has helped me some much in learning hiragana and katakana. Simple and easy to use, it's like flash cards for the scripts but more useful. One thing I did with it had was an option to have the sonda of the characters also, not just the visuals. Otherwise, it's a great app.

Best free kana app! It's actually pretty simple and aims to teach you the basic. You have to memorize kana and do quizzes to make sure you did. I find it fun. :) If you intend to learn the basic, so far this is the best free app I've found and I recommend it. PS.: no annoying ads, you're safe➖😁
I've learned a lot!
Caveat: this is the first app I've tried to learn Hiragana and Katakana and I've only used it briefly.
That said, I love this app. It has both alphabets. The menu system is easy; it is everything I need for now. I will continue looking for a second app to learn the stroke order.

Best Study Tool
I've downloaded a lot of apps to study kana but this is by far my favorite. Simple and straight to the point, this is the best tool to really cement the symbols in your mind! I recommend studying kana (hiragana and katakana) a bit before using this app, just so you're a little familiar with the names and sounds. I definitely recommend this app to other friends who are picking up Japanese!
