Immediately crashes on iOS 18

I downloaded and purchased this app after reading a Boston Globe article that recommended it and was excited to use it on my recent trip to the Kancamagus. I had everything downloaded prior to leaving the house. Once in Lincoln I opened the app, clicked the eastbound Play button and was immediately kicked out of the app. I tried the westbound option - same result. I tried while connected to car play, disconnected from car play … it didn’t matter. The result was always the same - the app would crash and kick me back to the Home Screen.

Purchaser Beware

Be careful downloading this app. Great reviews, but it was a complete waste of money for me. First. It says over and over again it has to be connected to Wi-Fi to work. Your phone data plan is useless with this app. Obviously this travel route is in the middle of a National Forest where there is no Wi-Fi. I downloaded while at lunch in a restaurant thinking it would work during the whole drive. When we were just a few miles out of Lincoln it stopped working and wanted another download, but we didn’t have any connection. Almost wrecked the car playing with it and then gave up. TOTAL waste of $7

Were you able to get in touch with our 24/7 support team? They are trained to resolve issues such as the one you describe. If you can provide us with more details, we’d love to diagnose whatever glitch may have been occurring.

Great with the tech, meh with the tour

I’m comparing this to the guide I purchased in Maui for our Road to Hana and while I love the ease of the downloadable GPS guided tour, there’s just need to add more to the tour.

Sure there’s an optional hike or overview, but tell me why I should get off at this particular one, or the best hike for the view in your opinion. Give me a recommendation or two and WHY! Tell me what I’m seeing on and overlook and why it matters.

It gives good basic information, but lacks a punch in being super helpful.

Learnt a lot

We had no idea about native Americans story on this highway. The narrator is excellent. He made the whole trip very interesting. It is a straight road but you can take your time to stop, get out, take pictures. We spent three hours total. Remember, there are no restaurants. Carry some food and drinks. It was easy to use. Audio played on its own when we came to its spot. Do not drive too fast.

Overall, very nice. We learnt a lot.

Won’t download

Didn’t download on WiFi and LT. tried multiple times. they won’t return our money. Disappointed. Don’t recommend.

Beautiful Fall Colors

Loved learning about the Native American people of the area while surrounded by nature. This guide added a lot of good context to the drive.

Family roadtrip

Great little drive through the White Mountains. Lots of scenic overlooks and small hikes along the way. Great stories about the stops, the histories, and the animals of the region.
