Request:

Hi, can you please add an option the see all of the kanji you missed (right after finishing a set). For example it only lets me to try again on the kanji I missed but it doesn’t give me a list of all of them, I want to screen shot or export them to try and focus on those kanji more.

Just want to focus on the ones I I’m having difficulty
There is no point in studying kanji I always know

Great app, but I would like to request a feature…

It’s a great app for learning and memorizing Kanji, but my only complaint is that when the sound plays after an answer, it pauses any background videos you have playing and doesn’t unpause them after. For example, if you are watching a YouTube video while doing the quizzes, every time you complete a question, the sound plays and pauses the video and doesn’t unpause it after. This happens even if you set all the apps sounds volume to 0. My one request is to make it so that the sounds do not pause any other videos currently playing.

Best Kanji App

Best app I’ve found to review Kanji. I like the variety of what you can test for (English, hiragana, kanji). And it has no bloatwear. Scoring is a nice touch too.

Small issue

Love the app and has really helped however it is very irritating that I can’t listen to music because the sound effects (Which can’t be turned off) interfere with it every time you flip a card. Other than this it’s perfect but would really love the ability to practise whilst listening to my music

amazing app but HOW DO I ACTUVATE A VOICE

why is there a voice option but there’s no voice?? 😓😓

Great app

Very useful for learning kanji, I’ve had great success with this app. My only wish is to be able to see what kanji are in a given set in case I wanted to study a specific set of flashers, as there is currently no indication.

Update the website flashcard mode to add N1 list

Hi could you please let me know when you will update your website to add the n1 list on the flashcard vocabulary list. It still says N1 coming soon. Thanks

Love the app, but can we have a silent option?

I highly recommend this app and I find it extremely helpful. The one thing I would like to see is the ability to turn on silent mode (no voice, no sound effects) for just visual flash card practice. I would practice more often if I could listen to music while I was studying, but as it is I can’t see how to do that.

Still, thanks for a great app!

Very good

Very good and to the point. I wanted a flashcard app for study repetition of kana and kanji as I work towards the N5 exam. Interface is clean and it does what I want and the buy once option is much appreciated. Thank you.

dark mode please

add a dark mode or night mode please for oled devices

Great for Exercises

I’m finding I benefit from several apps, because they are each good in some way. This one is great b/c the quizzes take you randomly through the specific study set, with the options you select, for that set. So, you pick if you want Romani, kanji, etc vs what other expression style for each word or character. It’s great for making sure you review one of each thing you want t review!

Love this app..but

I love this app, but I purchased it on my phone and it wont open the purchased version on my iPad. Would love if this problem could be looked in to. :)

Interface

1. Simplicity is best, that’s why I love your app.

2. It is understood that kun readings are in hiragana, on readings in katakana, and English words, well English. There is no need to spell this out on every flash card. Because of this, the card has become very crowded, the Japanese font smaller and much harder to read (the super scripts are basically invisible)

Your app really is 5-star, but it was better readable before the recent design change.

3. Another minor thing: there is no way to reset everything to zero. I cycle through all 2000 kanji in about 20 days, then I have to delete the app and reinstall and restore past purchases, to reset everything.

Purchase of all levels and restore purchase

First of all I found this app from the website! I was using the website version on my pc but I wanted to use it on the go and discovered the app. I decided to purchase all levels so I can progress farther.
The issue I ran into was it not giving me access to the levels I just bought. I checked my iTunes account and it showed the purchase, but no matter what they wouldn’t give me access, even after trying to restore purchase
But the fix was to restart my phone, so if you run into this issue try that!!

I definitely recommend this app for a quick refresher or studier on the go 🫶

I bought your app

Can you please add an option to study, in a similar quick fashion, it could be a paid upgrade 👍

Randomized Quiz, Vocabulary Test, and Scores

This is one of the best apps for Japanese learners—thanks for putting it together. I highly recommend this app for all people who are preparing for the JLPT. I have three suggestions which imho would make the app even better.

1. Add a feature that allows users to take quizzes with random kanji based on user progress.

2. Develop the vocabulary aspect of the app. You can maybe add vocabulary quizzes for the sets.

3. Instead of always viewing the high score for the sets give the users the option to view the latest score on the sets or provide the score progress for individual sets.

Thank you.

Interface

Please, please, please change the interface back to what it was before....:

1. Simplicity is best, that’s why I love the app.
2. Black characters on white background are better readable than white ones in color.
3. It is understood that kun readings are in hiragana, on readings in katakana, and English words, well English. There is no need to spell this out on every flash card. Because of this, the card has become very crowded, the Japanese font smaller and much harder to read (the super scripts are basically invisible)

Your app really is 5-star, but it was better the way you had it before the change yesterday. Maybe you could make this user selectable?

PS: another minor thing: there seems no way to reset everything to zero. I cycle through all 2000 kanji in about 20 days, then I have to delete the app and reinstall and restore past purchases, to reset everything. (This is just a minor suggestion - the color scheme and hard to read font on the back of the card are almost a deal breaker for me :(

Best There Is

This is the best app there is to review kanji Hiragana and katana. but it’s missing HALF of the letters like が ぎ ぐ げ ご ざ じ ず ぜ ぞ だ ぢ で ど ば ぱ び ぴ ぶ ぷ べ ぺ ぼ ぽ etc.

Fantastic app

I have been studying Japanese for 30 years and I can tell you as a revision this is an absolutely fantastic app. It not only presents you levels but gives you the different Japanese and Chinese origin readings for each kanji character with word examples. It is simple and useful and such a practice good tool. And the Japanese vocal/audio is genuine Japanese and not Americanised or some foreign accent speaking Japanese. This is the genuine product. Well done guys. More than happy to pay for something like this.
