Although you won’t learn the real Kanji by only knowing its meanings you can go a long way with only knowing them. A lot of comprehension and understanding of the text comes from the recognition of kanji meanings so if you are a beginner I would definitely recommend. Could use some UX improvements though.

Cool icon, not a good learning experience.
The icon and design of the app are nice but the content and teaching method need lots of work.
It expected me to already know the characters and it would take away ‘lives’ if I got an answer incorrect to the quiz wrong which I did of course because it didn’t teach me the character first.
Before I learn my first kanji character it showed me 4 ads which was very annoying.
