Great tool to predict PN weaning!
This is a clinically useful application to help guide the care of patients with intestinal failure. Medical management should be maximized in patients with a chance of coming off PN. Surgical referral to a center specializing in gut rehabilitation should be considered in those who don’t respond. And those not expected to wean should be considered for transplantation.
