Love the customization
I had my system set at 8 when I lived in my apartment complex and was happy, my car was one of the few that was not thrashed except for a chipped window.
What I really liked was how I could change the sensitivity. I moved near Disneyland the fireworks kept setting off the alarm. I went to the dealer and they showed me how to reduce the sensitivity, and now I sleep all night lol.
Def recommend.

Did not meet the quality standards that were claimed
I found the Krr Bt security system to be overpriced and outdated, making it a useless addition to my security setup. The accompanying app for the security product was also outdated and ineffective. I won't go into the specific issues that other reviews have mentioned. Additionally, despite some dealerships claiming that this security system could save you money on car insurance costs, it's important to note that this is not always the case.

Doesn’t connect with Bluetooth on iPhone 14
I get a “Attention…Bluetooth is necessary to interact with the security systems. Please switch on your phone’s Bluetooth before continuing”.
My Bluetooth is on, I have restarted my phone, bounced the Bluetooth on my phone multiple times, and cannot get past the initial login. Thank you KARR BT for this piece of junk.

Glitch?
The app has logged me out completely and when I tried to log back in, it did not recognize my email … it says it’s an incorrect email, but that is in fact the email I used when I purchased my vehicle and the email they used when I was given a temporary password for the app! Not sure what to do… other than call customer service although this should not be an issue to begin with

Glitchy Show Violations Tab
This KARR system was installed on all of the cars at the Honda dealership here in Pasadena, CA. On day 2 after buying my new car, someone tried to steal my tires and my car alarm went off and scared the thieves away. Yay! It was neat because in the “Show Violations” tab of the app, it accurately showed the time of the incident. However, when reflecting back upon the “Show Violations” tab, the time has adjusted every single time I look at the tab, so the time of the incident is no longer the correct time. This is concerning to me because I have about 4 other violations under this tab, but the time keeps changing every day that I look at it, so I cannot correctly locate where I was at the time of these said “violations”. Would prefer for an accurate reading because otherwise this part of the app is useless.
I’m also bummed out because since it is a Bluetooth app, it only works when you are close to your car. So if someone is trying to steal something from your car, and you aren’t near it, the app will not tell you this is happing. The car alarm should go off, but when you are parked and at church, grocery shopping, running errands, you don’t necessarily hear the car alarm go off until you see the aftermath of what the thieves stole. This being said, the app needs a lot of work. The car alarm going off I am super grateful for, but the app itself needs a lot of improvement.

It’s a passive system, with tech now a days you can do stuff way cheaper and much simpler!
Apple tiles for example would easily replace those gps viper systems which where great when they came out!
Just like anything else people want to ba able to control every part of the system good or bad?!?!? This system is dealer installed so it’s just about profit for the dealer ship.
Hey we are running a special on alarm system this week, also I can save you a lot of money with that and our undercoating! We can work it right it to the payments, every hundred or so adds 15 or more to the payment. They are smooth and touchy feely car’s salesmen.

False sales DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
All this app does is replace your factory key fob and is more inconvenient to use since you have to open the app, log in, select your vehicle, then wait for it to connect to lock or unlock it. I can do that with my key fob in my pocket. I was sold on the idea that I could see where my car was if it was stolen. NO YOU CAN’T. You can ONLY see where your car was when you locked it last WITH the app. Right now I’ve used the app 6 times today and it’s still showing where my car WAS 2 days ago. DO NOT WASTE YIUR MONEY!!!!

Very reliable, wish we could open and close at a farther distance. Also would be great if the developers added hands free option to open on proximity detection without having to even open up the app!
App is slow and outdated
The app does not work as fast. Very slow and the UI is clearly outdated. Please update it to 2022 standards. Thank you. Also allow for an unlock and lock widget for our home screens so we don’t have to always open the app. Maybe a siri shortcut would be great too.
Not as Advertised
I bought my car last year and was basically forced to buy the “security system” with the car. I was told it could track my car and see previous locations and lock/unlock my car. I was also told that it should continue updating the location of the car if my Bluetooth is kept on. My cars location hasn’t not changed on the app for over a year. I know I’ve had people hit my car but I’ve never been notified. Nothing in the app works. Completely useless and not what it says it is: a security system. My key fob can lock and unlock my car at a much further distance than this piece of junk of an app can. Never will I ever get this system again in any future cars. Waste of money. If a dealer pushes it, just go somewhere else to buy a car. It’s really not worth it. Either this app needs to upgrade and do what it says it does, or it needs to be taken down and stop being sold.

This is by far the most useless app and system I’ve ever been conned into purchasing. You have to be connected via Bluetooth to “track” your car this app really only “tracks” your vehicle when it’s in your driveway/garage. I feel like an idiot for falling for this. USELESS!
Best car security system and app
This is by far the best app and system yet. The app is simple, quickly responds, and makes life easier all around. Being able to unlock my car from my phone while walking to it was something I didn’t know I needed until I had it, but will now be something installed in all my future vehicles. The app has tutorials and help easily accessible and the system itself lets me rest assured my car will be safe regardless of where I need to park. My favorite feature is the starter kill, I know now no matter what my car will never be stolen- and if it was, the company will pay for it!!! Amazing.

Amazing Customer Service
Great customer service from SWDS Customer Service Representative Bill. He was able to get me an upgrade from green system to a blue system. This system inhibits someone from starting your vehicle even if they have the key fob. I highly recommend SWDS to anyone that wants to keep their car and belongings safe.

Waste of money
It’s obvious dealerships get a kickback for forcing this product on customers. It does not work. I tap on my vehicle and nothing. I will never agree to have this feature on my cars. It’s a rip off.
Worthless app and product
Just absolutely terrible. Came installed from Honda dealer, and sounded cool like our LoJack on other vehicles but doesn’t seem to do anything. I’ve tried contacting help but they never responded. Half the time doesn’t even find my vehicle despite it being a few feet away. And even though it has connected to it, hasn’t updated the map position of the vehicle in 2 weeks, so good luck having this thing do anything of help if something happened to your vehicle.

Poorly designed app
The app design is terrible. I can scan for my new car but I can’t select it to use any of the features of the app. The app needs to be updated. With the amount people pay for the system they could hire an actual app developer.
Wish I Read Reviews First
As most reviews state, BT KARR is not an anti-theft device. It’s a Bluetooth key and a major downgrade from my Volvo app that could lock/unlock via satellite. With this, you have to be within Bluetooth range and must have your car key to locate, lock, or unlock your vehicle. There is zero value to having this on your car. If you have a key and are within range, you can lock/unlock your car without this - duh. I do not understand the purpose of it. My car and app also cannot figure out that I am on the complete opposite coast from where I purchased my vehicle. Every time I open the app, it shows my vehicle is located 3,000 miles away. I re-locate my vehicle and it corrects, but upon opening and closing the app, it reverts back to my vehicle being 3,000 miles away (which is it obviously not).

Useless device. Sold by dealerships to pad their bottom line. Completely redundant with features in my vehicle. No privacy information. App looks like something built in 2009. Stay away.
