A proper point and click game
This is exactly the kids of game that I used to love in the 80s and 90s. It was pretty tough and I had to look up a few of the answers, but I really enjoyed playing it, the old fashioned graphics were super and the plot was so perfect for the vibe of the game. I hope there are more of these! I actually got the recommendation from ChatGPT.

Another great ruined by the heavy pro choice message. We get it. I hope the sequel isn’t like this.

I used to love this game. Now, the bugs make it extremely annoying to play. Every task is complete for day two but I can’t leave the manipulated message for Erica. The option for me to use my inventory isn’t even available. I won’t be playing again. Don’t waste your time with this game.

Avevo dato una valutazione molto bassa perché la prima parte del gioco mi sembra lentissima e poco attiva. In realtà l’ho ripreso ed è veramente bellissimo, se come me all’inizio vi trovate un po’ spaesati, resistete e aggiungete luoghi. Vi divertirete.

GREAT game - lot of bugs with iOS port
Game itself is great- have enjoyed playing it…but keep getting fatal crashes, freezes, or errors every few scenes. Forces constant saving, restarting, and repeating puzzles which gets annoying.
Currently can’t make it past beginning of day 2 as working with the sound file on dorm room computer fatally crashes every time.

Kathy Rain besticht vor allem durch seine besondere Atmosphäre, die ähnlich wie bei David Lynch´s Twin Peaks an der Schwelle zwischen realer Detektiverzählung und bizarrer Anderswelt angesiedelt ist. Was als normale Ermittlung beginnt, erhält zunehmend bizarrere und düstere Züge und nimmt den Spieler derart gefangen, dass man das Spiel zum Ende hin gar nicht mehr aus der Hand legen möchte. Auch die (Haupt-)Charaktere sind gut konstruiert, haben Persönlichkeit und Hintergrund und können mit einigen zynischen, sarkastischen oder bissigen Kommentaren aufwarten, die auch bei der großen Menge an Dialogen keine Langeweile aufkommen lassen. Die Rätsel sind angemessen schwer, aber nicht unlösbar. Manchmal sind die Hinweise ein wenig sehr kryptisch, aber mit ein wenig Nachdenken und Probieren ist alles zu bewältigen. Ein echtes Highlight für Fans von düsteren Point&Click Adventures, die den Fokus vor allem auf die Handlung legen und den Erzählfluss nicht durch unnötige Quests behindern.

On day 1 everything had been done and yet wouldn’t allow me to go to the next day. Looked online for the walkthrough and it seemed I was right and had done all the steps, looked at everything, solved the puzzles, went to the correct locations exhausted all the dialog and so would never be able to go to the next day. Not great anyway to be honest but more annoying to waste time.
