Disable cellular network
I couldn’t connect the dash camera until I disabled the cellular network, but had to play with many other options until this one worked. Knowing what the issue is, surely the developer can fix it.
Works brilliantly
Had some issues with connecting and thought all was lost. Everything actually works fine…. KB support will also tell you this, but just make sure when you connect to your camera, that you turn off your mobile data while you’re using it. You can’t connect if you don’t. Thanks KB. Nice work.
Finally working again
Thanks for having the decency to ~FINALLY~ update this app so it can work on newer iOS releases.. Has been working fine on a 6S, though the negative ratings seem to indicate it may not work as well on others…
Useless
Worked perfectly before iOS updates. I patiently waited but now 18 months later still no fix. Pointless using your dash cams when you have no access to them for setup or view. If you can’t keep up with the constant phone software updates you shouldn’t be selling these products
Seriously let down
KB is a totally unreliable and unprofessional unit. Had a R30 dash cam and similar story, stop supporting with updates within 2 years of purchase. Now a useless piece of junk! Will not buy another KB product - ever!
Doesn’t connect to the app
It’s a good dash cam but unfortunately it won’t connect to the iPhone app only if I turn my cell data off

R50 device continually times out and won’t connect. Makes both the device and app useless.

When in. App you must make sure you type in KBRSERIES ECT ECT the same as the wifi name in settings

Very poorly made
This app has a shockingly poor UI and is somewhat dysfunctional. The worst of it is that you have to enter a long string of characters every time you use it, just to connect. Other apps with similar wifi based connectivity don’t have this issue.
So bad
Can’t even connect my cam to my phone even though it’s connected to wifi. Renders the device useless. Going to get my money back
iOS update issue fix
I had issues connecting my R50 dashcam to my app. Spoke with KB support and here is the fix:
Thanks for your response. We have made some changes to app to be compatible with the new iOS. Due to that, you will need to connect the app to the dash cam a bit differently.
Please follow the below instructions:
Once you have connected your phone to the dash camera's WiFi network, please ensure you take note of the complete network ID/name of the dash cam's WiFi network
Go to the app and connect it to your dash cam
When you see the 'Connect Dash Camera' screen, please manually enter the complete "KB-RSERIES-xxxxxx" that you have copied from your phone's WiFi settings page
Click 'OK'
Please ensure you enter the dash cam's WiFi network ID/name exactly as how you see it on your phone's WiFi settings list, including the correct capitalisation and the dashes.
If continue to have issues doing the above, please let me know.

Can’t view camera
Since the update I can’t connect to the cameras wifi to view it
No longer able to view live via the app.
Since updating the app I’m no longer able to view live the recording but only a black screen. When I look at my clips it’s recorded.

Since updating to ios13 the app no longer works, it keeps asking to connect to the wifi of the dash cam, even though it’s connected. This is even on the latest app release that says it has ios13 support
