About

THE DIARY IS FREE, AND IT IS STAYING FREE. Type a meal, scan a barcode, log your weight, set your targets, sync across your devices, export the lot as a file. No trial on it, no counter running down, no account required. Pro buys one thing: reading a plate from a photograph. HOW IT WORKS 1) Photograph the plate — or a nutrition label, or say what you ate* 2) Get the name, calories, protein, carbs and fat, in about five seconds* 3) Argue with it — "there was no oil", "it was half that" — and the whole reading is recalculated from your sentence Counting calories fails on the tenth day, when looking up a bowl of soup takes longer than eating it. Kcal AI is built for the tenth day. This is not another diet app with a plan for you. No coach, nothing to swipe through before you can log lunch. Photograph it, correct it if it is wrong, close the app. IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT IS UNSURE A model looking at a photograph cannot see under the sauce, cannot weigh the portion, and cannot know how much oil went into the pan. So a reading it is unsure of is marked as one, instead of every number arriving with the same confidence. Correcting it takes a sentence, not a form with six fields. A figure you cannot argue with is worse than one you can. THE PICTURE IS A QUESTION. WE DELETE IT ONCE IT IS ANSWERED. Your photograph leaves the phone with no name, no account and no identifier attached to it. It is read, and then it is gone — never written to our disk. What we keep is that a reading happened: which kind, which language, whether it worked. Nothing about the food. THE REST OF IT • Barcode scanning against a public database of packaged food — free, and unlimited • The home screen answers one question: how much is left today • Fibre, sugar and sodium too, when you want more than the macros • Apple Health both ways: steps and workouts come in, your weigh-ins go back • Widgets and a Live Activity, so the day's number is on the Lock Screen • Targets that follow your weight as it changes, and a yesterday that can roll over • Saved meals and favourites, logged in one tap • English, Polski, Русский Ideas or questions: contact@varion-rp.com NOTE: Kcal AI does not give medical advice. A reading is an estimate, not a measurement. Talk to a professional before changing how you eat. *READINGS FROM A PHOTOGRAPH, A NUTRITION LABEL OR YOUR VOICE REQUIRE KCAL AI PRO, AFTER THREE FREE ONES. BARCODE SCANNING AND THE DIARY ITSELF STAY FREE. Kcal AI Pro is sold weekly, monthly or yearly, or once for life; the price is shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple Account settings. TERMS: https://depex.space/terms/ PRIVACY: https://depex.space/privacy/

What's New in Kcal AI

1.3.1

September 28, 2026

Improved nutrition label reading. The free trial now shows its dates: nothing to pay today, a reminder before it ends, and the day a subscription would begin. A streak forgives one missed day a week, and the evening reminder arrives around the time you usually log your last meal. Just starting out? See an example scan before your first meal.
