Ads are ridiculous now
Forces you to let an ad play when opening any news story, then it automatically plays whatever video they have attached to the story. How about stop the ad bs and quit trying to shove it down our throats. You wanna make money off the news get rid of the ads all together and charge 2.99 a month, problem solvedšš¤·āāļø

5-17-2016 update
I donāt like the format of the update. To busy and the titles of the news articles are cut off. Also donāt like the video auto play when I open an article to read. Sometime I open it at night while my spouse is sleeping then the video makes noise before I can silence it.

Canāt turn off audio in settings when starting a story, very annoying. App is slow to load

No way to stop auto play, this is a way to make money off ads we dont want to see or hear.
App has always been super glitchy, now it auto plays everything it can with no way to shut it off. Wanna open a story and read it quietly well too bad, auto play the ad at ridiculous base volume is all you get. If you try to pause it the app thinks you clicked on the ad and takes you to another page

Really annoying
While I understand the need for advertising, the way youāve placed them on your site is very annoying. They take so long to load, and they often play continually. I canāt get to the content. And the ads below the content are revolting. They show grotesque images! Please do something about this soon. If not, Iāll just delete the app. Iāll get my news and weather from a different local app.

Auto play video sucks
Turn off the video auto play in EVERY story.
I just want to read the news
Before the app was updated, I used to be able to read news articles. Now when I open an article, the video at the top plays automatically. It always starts with an ad, and if I donāt want to watch the video, I have to wait for the ad to run before I have the option of stopping the video. I havenāt been able to find a way to disable autoplay. I like to keep up on the news, but this is a borderline dealbreaker. If this āfeatureā doesnāt change, I will likely find a new source for local news.

New update 3-24-2026
My iPad just updated the app, I donāt like the new layout with ads sprinkled in between the article. The biggest problem is when I open a news story the video auto plays. This is a problem because I read the news in bed while my wife is sleeping so I donāt want the audio to start playing. I just want to read the news.

More ads then actual news
This app was recently updated and made it worthless. I legit canāt distinguish between the phishing ads and actual news articles. There are so many ads itās distracting I canāt even navigate around without some unwanted video popping up for viagra or heart medicine etc. This app is dead to me Iāll find my news in a competitorās app at this point. This is complete trash

Isnāt want it used to be
I liked the old way the app used to be. The new update is awful. I canāt view things as clearly as I used to and I canāt remove alerts after viewing. Please correct this!!

Auto play of segments
I really think there needs to be an option to decide whether or not news segments play. Very annoying while trying to read articles.

New version ruined this app
The new version added more ads between articles, ads all over the main feed, and auto playing ads/videosā¦ is there anywhere on the internet you can just read actual news anymore without ads popping up constantly?

Audio on video playing needs to be turned off
I am not a fan of the newer version of your app. When I click to read a new article - I donāt want the audio on a video to start playing. Is there a way to turn the audio off on videos when they start to play? I have looked but not seeing anything that I can change.
New app is a downgrade
Far too many ads and the articles donāt load. Videos are interrupted every minute with ads I donāt care about. I usually close out when that happens. And please, enough with the Alzheimerās click bait. Missing my demographic by about 30 years. I just want news
New version stinks
The app now auto plays a ad and then the video when you open a story. There is no setting to be found to mute or stop the video. Some people just want to read the story and not have to keep their phone volume on silent to use the app.
Video Sound Issue
I donāt like that videos start playing automatically and with sound on. If you click a story to read, the video playing automatically can be disruptive.
Alerts
Hate that I canāt change the sound of an alert and hate that I canāt get rid of the notification that I have unread alerts but it doesnāt tell me which ones.
