Can’t turn off audio in settings when starting a story, very annoying. App is slow to load

No way to stop auto play, this is a way to make money off ads we dont want to see or hear.
App has always been super glitchy, now it auto plays everything it can with no way to shut it off. Wanna open a story and read it quietly well too bad, auto play the ad at ridiculous base volume is all you get. If you try to pause it the app thinks you clicked on the ad and takes you to another page

Really annoying
While I understand the need for advertising, the way you’ve placed them on your site is very annoying. They take so long to load, and they often play continually. I can’t get to the content. And the ads below the content are revolting. They show grotesque images! Please do something about this soon. If not, I’ll just delete the app. I’ll get my news and weather from a different local app.

I just want to read the news
Before the app was updated, I used to be able to read news articles. Now when I open an article, the video at the top plays automatically. It always starts with an ad, and if I don’t want to watch the video, I have to wait for the ad to run before I have the option of stopping the video. I haven’t been able to find a way to disable autoplay. I like to keep up on the news, but this is a borderline dealbreaker. If this “feature” doesn’t change, I will likely find a new source for local news.

More ads then actual news
This app was recently updated and made it worthless. I legit can’t distinguish between the phishing ads and actual news articles. There are so many ads it’s distracting I can’t even navigate around without some unwanted video popping up for viagra or heart medicine etc. This app is dead to me I’ll find my news in a competitor’s app at this point. This is complete trash

Isn’t want it used to be
I liked the old way the app used to be. The new update is awful. I can’t view things as clearly as I used to and I can’t remove alerts after viewing. Please correct this!!

Auto play of segments
I really think there needs to be an option to decide whether or not news segments play. Very annoying while trying to read articles.
Ad fest
App deserves negative stars— a black hole of noisy ads. KCRG you can do better.
New version ruined this app
The new version added more ads between articles, ads all over the main feed, and auto playing ads/videos… is there anywhere on the internet you can just read actual news anymore without ads popping up constantly?

Audio on video playing needs to be turned off
I am not a fan of the newer version of your app. When I click to read a new article - I don’t want the audio on a video to start playing. Is there a way to turn the audio off on videos when they start to play? I have looked but not seeing anything that I can change.
New app is a downgrade
Far too many ads and the articles don’t load. Videos are interrupted every minute with ads I don’t care about. I usually close out when that happens. And please, enough with the Alzheimer’s click bait. Missing my demographic by about 30 years. I just want news
New version stinks
The app now auto plays a ad and then the video when you open a story. There is no setting to be found to mute or stop the video. Some people just want to read the story and not have to keep their phone volume on silent to use the app.
Video Sound Issue
I don’t like that videos start playing automatically and with sound on. If you click a story to read, the video playing automatically can be disruptive.
Alerts
Hate that I can’t change the sound of an alert and hate that I can’t get rid of the notification that I have unread alerts but it doesn’t tell me which ones.

This new app is awful. Don’t know why KCRG had to change it. The old one was just fine.
Apparently I have some kind of alert or something that I haven’t checked on because the app icon on my phone has a red circle with a number 1 in it. I can’t figure out what I need to see or do to get rid of it. Just about ready to delete the app for good.

Not digging the update
Not really liking the updated format with this app. Also, there is a 1, notification on the app that will not clear and my Type A is hitting me hard with that showing all the time.
