This app is fantastic. I’ve had all the various national apps and none of them take into account the nuances of local weather patterns. They are clearly just software. This app is not! It is reliable and accurate and has all the information you want. My favorite is the daily tab, that breaks down daytime vs nighttime weather, and the radar function. The only thing I don’t like is that some things are a bit small and hard to read/view, such as the video links on the home page. (Just a bit too much stuff on that home page.) I highly recommend this app to everyone in KC - even fellow Brian Busby loyalists like myself.

Sound on weather video broadcasts on app cut out 5-10 seconds in after update
There’s no way to contact anyone to make you aware of bugs or glitches. This is only one issue with this app- every time you post a video update of the weather forecast, the sound goes silent a quarter of the way through EVERY TIME. Way too many ads and every time you open the app you get a long welcome/Home Screen that takes awhile to go away. Seems like the app is getting worse.

Idiots
Keeps asking me to change setting for "always on" when it IS set for always on, then the screen won't remove unless I change to "only while using."
Too much noise on screen
Please add the various weather cams showing views of the city to this app. The weather cams are on KCTV5.com but not in either of the KCTV5 apps. Also, the closer camera view of the KCTV5 Tower from Children’s Mercy would be a nice cam to add to the public list of cams.
Not location specific
The hourly forecast on this thing will tell you that there is a 90% chance of rain while the radar shows that the rain is 30 miles south. In other words, they’re only tracking location to generate ad data and make money, not to provide accurate weather information. (Which they don’t.)

Too many ads
There is far too much advertising in this app. I don’t wanna have to listen to a bunch of advertising to get my information and often times it loops through the advertising multiple times. The old version of the app never did this. I will probably uninstall it.
Nice but delayed like any other weather app (read review!)
I LOVE LOVE ALL THE OPTIONS but tell me why I went outside and it’s pouring, 15 minutes later “Heavy rain detected near your location” I look outside and I’m excited to see how it could possibly get worse after how much rain I saw, and it’s barely raining, if sprinkling at all! I guess I’m giving it a 4 star review mostly because I was excited to see how much rain there was and got disappointed because of the delay.
**Positive note:**
Super cool app, I can even see when hails coming which I didn’t find on my other app. The lightning alerts are pretty spot on and I love looking at the lightning in the sky then seeing on the map where it striked?! Uh, super cool. And I even get alerts like lightning is 0.4 miles away from your location and then I get to watch it lol. So the lightning alerts are spot on once again. Otherwise from my small complaint maybe I’ll change it to a 5 when I use the app a little more. I usually don’t leave bad reviews because I feel pretty bad.

Notifications
The notification options make it seem like it’s only sever weather alerts, which is what I and most people want. Why do you guys send out so much nonsense? I don’t care if it’s sunny tomorrow. I got this for bad weather. At least add an option to turn off things like that. If the weather is good then I don’t need an alert every day or multiple times a day.

I was interested in this app because it would be a weather app local to me. But, when opening the app, the first screen always has so much stuff on it, that you have to find the weather forecast. Too much video, ads, topics. This is not how real weather apps look. Just show the weather! I deleted this one.

Weather updates
Over all your weather updates are good but they’re not very timely. It’s 8 o’clock Monday morning and you’re still showing Sunday mornings forecast. I need to be more current.

Confusing – I get lost.
The app is inconsistent. It gets into modes that I can’t understand. I can’t figure out how to get back to the normal function. It needs clearer links to access the different parts of the app.

I can get accurate forecasts on my iPhone isolated just for where I live or where I plan to be at any given time.
I can even check the weather where my family lives all around the Country. It’s amazing!!

Makes me feel safe
I love this app. Whether it’s the middle or the night or I’m on the go outdoors; I can always access the weather the radar and any warnings to keep me and my family safe and informed. Thanks for putting this out for us to use channel5!
