Good but some notes

I'm a visually impaired user and have been looking for a better accessible keyboard for a while.

Keeble has the right idea though it's missing several things that hold me back from switching to it full time. Here are some suggestions:

- allow customisation oh the key click colour. Right now, keys only flash in black which doesn't contract at all with any 'light on dark' theme, something many VI users like me prefer. I like to have that extra bit of visual feedback to confirm where I tapped.
- Character previews. Many other keyboards have the character pop up in a larger form above your finger web tapped. This option should be here, the more visual feedback the better.
- Add some more built in themes that VI users commonly use (white on black, blue on yellow etcj, I'm surprised these weren't standard. Also, have some kind of visual preview for what the built in themes look like instead of requiring us having to jump back and forth between the full keyboard preview.
- Hold hey shortcuts. As seen in keyboards like GBoard, different letters are assigned different numbers and symbols that will be typed when you hold said key. For example, holding on 'Q' to insert a '1'. I think this is much more efficient than having to switch to the full symbols view each time.
- Swipe/Slide typing. Very common in many keyboards, words are predicted based on the keys you slide over. Very fast and efficient in either phones or tablets. It should also have a visual trait to help track your swipes.
- dictation. Granted I don't know how easy Apple makes it to induce but it would be convenient to have at hand without needing to switch keyboards.

Hope you might find these helpful!

Keeble keyboard

I have recently installed the Keeble keyboard on my iPad, nand found it to be a perfect fit for my accessibility problem (advanced ARMD). I am particularly impressed with the 'test' function of the App that allowed me to easily check out the various settings without committing to it. That allowed me to quickly decide what worked best for me (Purple Rain with simplified querty layout).

Another great feature I like is the ability to use it in conjunction with Apples's Smart Typing feature. Having the ability to have a full-size keyboard with expanded text field is marvelous!

The Phrase Bank originally displayed a 'hodge-podge of unrelated shortcuts, but after discovering that the order was determined by alphabetical order of the shortcut abbreviations I was able to re-order. Now on the first page of Phrase Bank I have my name, address, phone, Email address, etc. On the second, common phrases - and on the third, IP addresses.

No autocorrect

Keeble is great except for the fact that there is absolutely co autocorrect and I can't change the colours of the symbols. It's annyoing because I have a high contrast keyboard I really need auto correct. Also wish you could pick custom colours.

Super clavier… manque l’icône pour dictée vocale

Bonjour,

Response from developer

Customization is great but needs auto-correction option

Overall, I think this is a great app. The level of customization for how the keyboard looks is wonderfully helpful. However, the one major downside I have found is that there is no option for auto-correction. I wanted to use this app for accessibility because the customized keyboard is incredibly helpful but I can not use it because of the lack of auto-correction capabilities.

A godsend

This is the best word prediction I have ever used. I have CP and type with a stylus or trackball and do a lot of writing for both work and general communication. The option for multiple-word prediction makes things so much faster, and the option to toggle learning on or off is particularly helpful. I prefer that my words don't move around a lot, so I'll turn on learning and enter phrases or word combinations I use most often, then turn off learning for a bit so that I know the most common choices will always come first. I also like the arrow keys and abbreviation expansion. However, it is impossible to knock the word "gonna" from the first row of choices after "I'm," which is slightly annoying. And I would like to see an option to reset the prediction data without having to reinstall the app. All in all, though, this keyboard seriously has me wishing I could do all my writing on the iPad, because it's light years above anything available on Windows. I hope it continues to thrive.

Surprisingly good for Skyle eye gaze

I use this to type with my eyes and it works well, despite some bugs.

Capitalization does not work automatically,, which is annoying,

Otherwise it is a lifesaver.

Laggy

This app is ok but lags a lot whe typing fast. Please update the app. $25 is a lot for an app that does not responds as it shoud.
:thanks

The future is accessible

Keeble is a big deal for disabled people like me. I am low vision and physically disabled. I can read and type on both my phone and tablet with greater ease. I am so glad Keeble exists for us.

Mise à jour faite pour iOS 11, mais

Il n'y a plus la langue française (France) dans le choix des langues. Pourquoi ?
Rectification : j'ai bien la langue française (France).

Response from developer

Merci d'avance

Not working

It doesn’t work on iPhone X

Works great on iPhone 6s Plus iOS 10.0.2

Impressed by the clarity of the voice of this Keeble keyboard! One important installation note necessary if the keyboard is to read out loud: "...you will need to tap its entry in the list of keyboards and toggle Allow Full Access to ON/green."
Thanks to this instruction in a very quick response from support during installation, my copy became fully functional in a couple minutes. I am very happy to have purchased this software!

Good for switch users but.

Great keyboard for switch users but it didn't scan the message box in iMessage or skype to send a message. I like the frequency keyboard!

Good start for an accessible keyboard

What's good for me?
Large keyboard
Big text predictions
Good contrast
Coloured vowel keys
Good word prediction

What's lacking?
Autocorrect (big issue)
Double click shift for continued capitalisation

A truly revolutionary keyboard

This is exactly what I was looking for in a third-party keyboard! Completely customizable with powerful predictability! I love the Dwell feature, but is there any chance of adding the option for a custom dwell time? For me, I'm looking for something between 0.1 and 0.25 seconds.

Keyboard that meets the needs of all users

This keyboard is a much needed addition to the range of iOS keyboards becoming available. By allowing access to all users, particularly those with vision impairments and physical access challenges, and those who are switch users, this keyboard is an essential accessibility feature found right there in the keyboard settings available to all. Great keyboard.

Great behind the scene features

Great to see a keyboard that can be personalised for users with motor challenges. The ability to customise the dwell functions and the repeat keys options will be an invaluable feature in so many scenarios.

Finally an accessible keyboard!

This app is great. Finally a switch accessible keyboard that works in all apps. Great visual simplicity too.

Somewhat improved

The update seems to have resolved the backspace key problem, but I haven't used it enough to be completely convinced yet. It was an intermittent problem.

Key shortcomings are that the keyboard lacks undo and redo keys. It also doesn't access the keyboard shortcuts that I've defined. I have many shortcuts in which two or three letters type an entire phrase. Not having these is very inconvenient.
