Update did not work.
So mine, like everyone else’s wasn’t connecting. Then there was an update and after the first attempt it worked great like it should. Then after that it’s just like before. Doesn’t show any videos or history which if I’m not mistaken is the whole point of a dashcam. Please Kenwood, get this app sorted or you can have the camera back. Update after latest update - still not working! It’s infuriating! Where do we put a compensation claim in? I’m serious - where do we claim for compensation?

Fails to complete connection
This app is impossible to force to make a connection. It presents as though it is connected with the dash cam initially recognised and then will not form a connection to allow download, it just times out. The instructions are useless, it is clear that Kenwood know it does not work and are just not prepared to make the effort to sort it out as they state that connections sometimes fail and you should just follow the onscreen prompts. Not recommend this product to anyone. We want easy connectivity and the whole product is let down by no connection. UPDATE - There is a bug that Kenwood don’t tell you about and that is this app is incompatible with CarPlay running at the same time. Turn off CarPlay and it will connect.

App has some Cons, But Works alright for a DRV-A610W
The app Has its pros and cons.
Cons: The live view of the cameras and playback indefinitely loads on a black screen. iPhone 15 Pro, IOS 17.0. 80% free storage space.
also the app requests bluetooth to be on, but the device also requires a wifi connection to the camera. nowhere does it explain why it wants both a bluetooth and wifi connection i wouldn't mind this if the features worked fully.
Pros: The app works well otherwise and load times are decent enough. I can connect to the camera and see the clips its taken and download them to my phone at a reasonable speed. as well as adjust settings on the camera.
Overall i am happy with the quality of the camera and somewhat letdown by the app. I hope to see these issues resolved in app updates.
I'd also like to see the app remember my device and open to the device list screen and not make me have to choose MKII everytime i boot the app.

Not showing device anymore
Despite being connected, the device no longer shows as it used to. I think it’s to do with the latest iOS update. This is abysmal.
Not fit for purpose
After trying multiple times to view content on my mobile with no success I was told by the Hyundai garage (who only use Kenwood) that when contacted they said the app isn’t updated often enough to keep up with phone updates… to view content, I have to remove SD card and view the content on a laptop… avoid

Can’t connect to dash cam
Like other have complained I can’t connect to dash cam. They kept saying user has done something wrong but no that’s not the case. How on earth your development manage to roll out without even basic testing is beyond my comprehension. Stop blaming on users and fix the problem.
