KERA is the best
I have travelled all over the US for work and IMO KERA is the best of NPR. DFW is lucky to have such a great resource available.

Good App: requesting iPhone shortcut support
Good app, only 3 days used. Love I can that I can launch KERA Live with one click on app unlike NPR app. Like local news list. Requesting easy way to also go to NPR articles and news. Maybe it already has it ? Would be nice to have iPhone shortcut support.
Love my public radio!
I love that I get to hear my favorite stations wherever I go! I do get frustrated when the station won’t load, or keeps pausing to give me a “commercial” in the middle of a story or a great song I am trying to hear.i have to reload it too often to get it unstuck.

When it works it’s okay, but it frequently freezes up. Then again, KERA frequently has dead air, so I guess it’s reflective of its source.

Great way to stream NPR
The app is way better than it used to be. I’m glad to have my local NPR station easily accessible on my phone whenever I want it.

What’s not to love about KERA? Among the best public radio stations in the US! Listening while away form a radio is the bomb.
But the recording controls are in bad need of an overhaul - they don’t work. If you want to hear that last 10 seconds again, the “back 10 seconds” button is greyed out. It stays that way until you use the slider (as precise as a sledge hammer), which then gets you lost in the broadcast. Plus, if you then move off the app to take a phone call, say, your place in a recording evaporates when you next switch back to the KERA app.

Glitchy
The app’s feature set is fine, but when playing back audio it goes silent and buffers every 5 minutes or so. It’s annoying enough that I’m considering a different station as my NPR feed.

Great station, terrible app
Terrible, poorly implemented and annoying Advertising detract from what a great station has to broadcast. I literally hate using the app and avoid it if i can. Sometimes i can’t avoid it in order to hear the broadcast. It makes me want to revoke my monthly donations. And i get closer to stopping my monetary support each time because the app is so maddening. Comments to the developer amount to “sorry” or “we are working on it” or “ turn it off, then turn it back on” ie, no real help. Good luck KERA i think you you need a different developer/app vendor. Btw, only posted this review because KERA invited me to.

I’ve been watching KERA for at least 50 years. Never had any complaints. I now enjoy watching on my iPad. Great app and great programming.
