Kern can now tell you when a book starts to fade. Until now Kern knew the day a book began slipping out of reach, and had no way to mention it. Turn on reminders and one quiet notification arrives in the evening when a book actually crosses out of INKED, which is the moment a review is worth the most. Books fading on the same day arrive as a single notification, never one per book. No streaks, no daily nagging, and nothing fires simply because you have been away. Every reminder matches a real book crossing a real threshold. If your whole shelf goes cold, Kern says so once, then stays quiet until you come back. Reminders stay off until you turn them on, and you can switch them off again in Settings.
