About

Keystrike teaches you to actually read music: a graded piano course that takes you from your first note to real repertoire, with sight-reading drills, ear training and theory exams at every level. Connect any MIDI keyboard and the score follows your playing in real time — every note you play is read, marked and graded. Pay once, own it forever. No subscription, no account, no cloud: everything stays on your device. • A real graded curriculum — structured levels from first key to repertoire; pass exams to move up; honest grading, no participation trophies. • Sight reading that counts — octave-strict note reading; drills that adapt to what you miss. • Ear training & theory — intervals, chords, rhythm and theory drills built into the course, not bolted on. • Your keyboard, not a screen keyboard — works with any MIDI keyboard; the score follows your actual playing. • Practice Studio — loop practice with Steady and Tempo Climb modes for the hard bars. • Built for iPad and Mac — full-size scores, real engraved notation. • Private by design — no account, no cloud, no tracking; progress lives on your device. • Try everything free for 7 days — then one purchase unlocks it all. Ode to Joy stays free forever.

What's New in Keystrike

1.2.6

August 28, 2026

What's new in 1.2.6 • Practice Studio has learned pentatonic scales: major and minor five-note patterns in C, E, G, F and A unlock after Grade 8. • Sharp & Flat Scales also unlock after Grade 8, with advanced major and minor keys from C-flat through G-sharp. Even the double flats are spelled properly; the piano remains emotionally neutral about this. • Finish Grade 5 and the core scale list now grows with C minor, G minor, A major and F minor. • Studio scales may begin in any playable octave and then stay in that register. Keystrike no longer insists that middle C is the centre of the universe. • Acoustic resampling and the score engraver's JavaScript hand-off are safer under Swift 6. Plumbing should not be allowed a percussion solo.
