Register button doesn’t work

I have selected 5 stars but it is not for the review as I am not sure of the problem so might be unfair to put low rating.
The Problem:
It seems that one can not use their existing KHCB username and are required to create a new username which I find quite odd as like myself there will be many who may not like to change it just because the app is upgraded and that too when my existing credentials are valid to be used on the website. Please clarify, thank you.
