No skill or strategy required
Was excited to try out a new fantasy game for MLS, but this has been terribly disappointing. The game has a massively complicated scoring system with seemingly meaningless point totals, yet none of that matters. Unlike other fantasy games that require some skill, tactics, and data tracking to maximize margins, this one simply requires you to get the best scoring players you can each week if you want to finish around the top 10% each week.
If you love spending fewer than 5 minutes building a team each week with little thought or strategy and still be able to perform consistently well, then this game is for you. But if you like a game that requires tactics, strategy to your picks, a scoring system that makes sense, and a logo that doesn’t look like 3 Edna Modes in a circle, I’d look elsewhere.

This UI is not intuitive at all

I love the app and love the system it has with many different types of leagues and challenges, but the thing that would make this app the best is if you had the EPL ( premier league)

Let Down
App is just bad. Hard to maneuver through it, glitches, and it’s difficult to change your teams around. Annoying enough that a made it 4 weeks and decided to delete it.

I love this game! It isn’t just for the hardcore fantasy ppl but also for the casuals that love the game!!! I have learned so much about the game by picking players and seeing how they do.

Was never really into fantasy but this got me hooked, loved the head to head mode, and found all the controls super easy to use. My and my friends are having a blast using this app.

Best MLS Fantasy App Ever
Literally always talked about MLS needing to make a Fantasy App for the future and this is exactly it. Kickbase is not only providing a great game, they are actually adding to the MLS community with all their content.
Worst fantasy game ever
I played MLS Fantasy for years. From this year Kickbase took over that. This app is full of nonsense. Normally in a football fantasy game your budget is changing depending on your decisions, how good or bad were your picks. In this game your money stays the some, nothing changing, so literally one of the most important aspects of the game is not there. And also in one week I forgot to setup my team, and after last week I was on -0.9m budget with the exact same group of people (which couldn’t happen in a normal fantasy game) and recieved 0 point for the next round, because the game didn’t accept my team because they’re in deficit. I’m planning to delete the app from my phone and never use it again. We have a huge Hungarian fanbase of MLS who are having our own league and planning to delete it and move our league to another platform that is actually good, because everybody had enough of these bugs.

somehow the app is not registering 3 members of my squad at the start of game day despite having a full squad assigned merely minutes prior to the lockout. not the first time i’ve experienced this issue. once again, a TERRIBLE app.

Terrible app for fantasy
This app has so many issues. Like most others it seems to be such a great app for fantasy at the start. But once you actually start to use it the app shows you what it’s really about. The MLS has done a partnership with a company that is strictly trying to make money and not a solid product for fans to enjoy. The app is something like 6$ month for basic fantasy features like seeing your opponents lineups in your league. Completely outrageous and shouldn’t be a thing. They have so many other options to put behind a paywall but this is a basic feature which shouldn’t be behind it. Also the point system doesn’t quite make sense. Just stick to the basic win or loss with points. Also having a deduction if you don’t have a starting player is stupid. And when a player doesn’t play you get disqualified for the whole week. The overall design of the app is probably the only beneficial thing. It’s well design besides some features like the captain system and others mentioned it’s good. But if you want to play fantasy with your friends this is not the app for now. My friends have all deleted the app and will probably not play MLS fantasy again because of this. Good job MLS for screwing over your fans once again.

No rolling lockout and expensive
It’s absolutely idiotic for them to not have a rolling lockout for players. MLS lineups are too unpredictable for this. You need to pick players for all of the weekends games by noon on Saturday and almost everyone ends up with a few players getting zero points because they get scratched from the lineup last minute. It forces you to spend forever trying to figure out who’s going to play instead of just picking the best players. Also you need to pay $60 to get basic features that are included for free on every other fantasy sports platform. I’m disappointed MLS ever partnered with them.

We totally get where you’re coming from, MLS lineups can be unpredictable and not having rolling lockouts can make that frustrating. Our current setup is meant to keep the whole matchday strategic, but we hear you that last-minute scratches can feel rough. That’s something we’re always looking at and discussing internally. if it ain’t broke…
locked out of making substitutions at the beginning of the matchday. for what reason does my team need to be locked in at 1pm EST the first game of the matchday? horribly designed fantasy managerial app. why on earth would MLS make this downgrade to an app that hasn’t been properly assessed for user experience & satisfaction? revert back to the original formatting & digest from whatever this joke is.

Küsse eure Herzen und könnte auch die 5€ mal zahlen, aber wenn ich extra 30sek Werbung gucke um die livepunkte zu sehen, dann zeigt sie auch bitte und zeigt sie bitte erst nicht nachdem ich sie 4 mal neu gucken musste. Ansonsten wisst ihr selber, dass ihr da ne geile App habt. LG
Can’t see opponent roster/stats
Not being able to see your opponents lineups, roster, points or anything along those lines is awful. What makes it worse is you’d charge us to see it.
Overall the app is great and works well. Blocking the fantasy basics like matchup stats is unbelievable and unfortunate. I’d genuinely give it a 5 star if you don’t charge us for something that should be mandatory for fantasy.

Totally hear you, being able to see your opponent’s lineup and stats is a core part of the fantasy experience, and we get why this feels frustrating. We’re always looking at what makes the most sense to be free vs part of pro / member subscriber, and feedback like yours definitely plays a big role in that. Have to pay to even play fairly
We can’t look at other players teams in the league or look at player stats unless you pay $60 a year. MLS fantasy was better as it was user friendly and free to play. Player stats were available and moving to this app was just a downgrade. I am really disappointed this season.

Ich nutze die Kickbase App sehr gerne, aber aktuell gibt es ein nerviges Problem mit der Punkteanzeige. Die Punkte werden nach Aktionen oft nicht direkt oder korrekt angezeigt. Erst wenn man nach links auf den Transfermarkt swiped und danach wieder zurückgeht, erscheinen die Punkte plötzlich richtig.
Das sollte eigentlich automatisch und in Echtzeit funktionieren, ohne dass man erst zwischen den Seiten wechseln muss. Gerade während der Spiele ist es ziemlich störend, weil man ständig nachschauen möchte, wie viele Punkte ein Spieler gerade gemacht hat.
Bitte behebt diesen Fehler in einem der nächsten Updates, damit die Punkte wieder zuverlässig und direkt angezeigt werden.

Disgrace to Fantasy
MLS Fantasy has been ok for the last 10 years or so. Never great, never terrible. Some years better than others. I have done MLS fantasy every year for YEARS. Kickbase has made me drop it completely. What do you mean I can’t even see my opponents team without paying for a subscription? Why is it so difficult for me to select which player I want to captain? Why can’t I make changes to my team after the FIRST game of the week starts? I don’t know a single other fantasy system in any sport that works that way, if a team sheet comes out and a player on my team isn’t in the starting 18 I should be able to switch it. This is actually one of the most ridiculous cash grabs I’ve ever seen and it’s a complete disgrace that MLS switched systems. I hope everyone stops playing until things are changed.
