About

Kidney Lens is an honest kidney-diet tracker for people already diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Snap a plate and see potassium, phosphorus, sodium, and protein as clear ranges against the targets your renal dietitian set — with additive-phosphorus flagging and a clinician-ready report. Kidney Lens observes and educates. It does not diagnose, does not read your lab results, and does not replace your care team. HONEST RANGES, NEVER FAKE PRECISION Every nutrient reads as a range with a confidence level, never a single fake-precise number. The milligrams come from published, public-domain U.S. government nutrient data — Nora AI never invents them. What Nora AI estimates from your photo is the portion, shown as a range. When it can't be sure, it widens the range or tells you, and one tap corrects any estimate. A PHOSPHORUS-ADDITIVE LENS Phosphorus is not a required label nutrient, and the phosphate added to processed, branded, and restaurant foods is absorbed almost completely — yet it is invisible to nutrient tables. Instead of showing a falsely low number, Kidney Lens withholds it and flags "additive phosphorus likely — check the ingredient list for PHOS." An honest "unknown" beats a confident wrong number. TRACK AGAINST YOUR DIETITIAN'S TARGETS Potassium and phosphorus targets are individual — your renal dietitian sets them from your blood tests. Kidney Lens shows food content and the targets you enter, never a personal cap of its own, and never a verdict on what's right for you. A day's ranges appear as neutral rings, with a no-shame breakdown back to the foods that drove them. FLUID, BINDERS, AND MEDS — LOG ONLY Log fluid, including the hidden liquids that count (soup, gelatin, ice cream, melon), against a cap you enter. Record binders and medicines taken with a meal. Kidney Lens never suggests an amount, a schedule, or a dose. THE CLINICIAN REPORT Generate a report to share with your nephrologist or renal dietitian, built on your device from your logs — bands and explicit "withheld" cells, never false precision, with a non-diagnostic note on every page. Free includes a watermarked 7-day report; Pro unlocks the full-range, un-watermarked version. FREE, AND HONEST ABOUT PRO Manual logging, on-device Label Lens and barcode logging, one signed-in photo scan a day, band reads, day rings, fluid and binder logs, 7-day history, the education library, and a watermarked 7-day report are always free. Kidney Lens Pro raises signed-in photo scanning to 10 a day and adds saved meal comparison and re-logging, full 7/30/90-day trends, and the full-range clinician report — for $9.99/month or $59.99/year with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan. No paywall before you've seen the app, and everything you need for day-to-day logging stays free. PRIVACY AS A FEATURE Your food, fluid, medication, and target logs stay on your device. Scan photos are never stored on our servers. Export or delete your data anytime. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged within 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings. Kidney Lens is a tracking and education tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, dosing, or treatment. It is for people already diagnosed with kidney disease by a clinician; it does not diagnose CKD or interpret blood tests. High blood potassium can be serious for people with kidney disease — track your intake and discuss your numbers with your care team. Always follow your care team's guidance and talk to your renal dietitian or doctor before making changes to your diet, fluids, or medicines. What's New in Kidney Lens

2.0.0

July 18, 2026

Kidney Lens 2.0 makes each meal record easier to verify and easier to share with your care team. • Use Label Lens to read a Nutrition Facts label on-device, review the source, and log only what you can verify. • Photo servings stay as ranges unless you enter grams yourself. Source, correction, and uncertainty context remain visible. • Compare meals, repeat saved meals, and keep more complete day, trend, and clinician-report context. • Clinician reports now distinguish available, withheld, corrected, and locally entered information without interpreting your care plan. Kidney Lens remains a tracking and education tool for people already diagnosed with CKD. It does not diagnose, set limits, or give dosing advice.
