When your child taps a 7, they hear "seven." That is one tab. The other is a math quiz that grows with them, from addition to all four operations. Digits stop being shapes to decode and become numbers with names. The calculator Large buttons, and add, subtract, multiply and divide. Every number and operation is spoken as it is tapped, and the answer is spoken on equals, so a child who cannot read the display yet can still follow what they are building. Finished calculations collect in a tape you tap open, newest first. It is a scratch pad for the session, and it clears when the app closes. The quiz For when your child is ready to be asked instead of told. Easy is addition. Medium adds subtraction. Hard uses all four operations. You choose the length of a round, 5, 10 or 20 questions, so practice fits the time you actually have. Questions are multiple choice with four answers, so nothing depends on typing or spelling. The question is read aloud, and the moment your child answers, right or wrong is spoken and marked by an icon, a border and a color at once, never by color alone. Each round ends with a score and a percentage, and the best score is kept separately for every difficulty and round length, so a child improving at Easy 5 is never measured against Hard 20. One mute button turns the voice off in both tabs, for the car, the waiting room, or the back of a classroom.
