About

Kidscient is a voice-first learning companion for kids, led by Curio — a kind, patient cheetah who talks with your child the way a great teacher would. No quizzes, no grading, no "wrong!" — just a warm voice that helps a child think out loud. Kidscient grows with your child across several playful modes (each turned on by a parent): SCHOOLWORK — Curio helps with math and schoolwork by talking it through: gentle questions, a shared whiteboard, and a photo option so kids can snap a worksheet for step-by-step help. REAL WORLD — Friendly role-play to practice everyday conversations (ordering from a waiter, talking to a coach, meeting a friend), with Curio playing the other person. ROOTS — Relaxed chats in your family's heritage language. No grades, no rules — just talking with Curio to keep a language close. PROJECT LAB — Build something real. Curio coaches your child through planning and making a hands-on project, step by step. HOME CREW — A gentle place for everyday responsibility: today's chores and a reward catalog parents set up. MADE FOR PARENTS • A parent gate (Face ID / device passcode) protects every setting, sign-out, and each module's on/off switch • A parent dashboard shows what your child worked on • Private by design: no ads, no tracking, no data sold. Voice is used to help in the moment, not stored as recordings. • Built to COPPA and family-privacy standards Kidscient is designed to feel safe, warm, and encouraging — a place where a child can be curious out loud. Stories — Curio listens to your child read. Your child can now read aloud to Curio, who listens and asks a few questions about what they read. Point the camera at a page of any book you already own and read from that one. If they get stuck there is "Give me a clue" and "Skip this bit", and they can stop and come back whenever they like. You choose what the Adventure Pack prints. • Choose the age group yourself — Ages 5–6, 7–8, 9–10 or 11–13 — instead of the one we set from your child's school year. Ages 5–6 is read aloud, and drawn rather than written. • Choose which pages go in before you print. • Switch off any module you would rather skip. One of them could not be switched off before. Every Adventure Pack page now teaches, not just instructs. Each page now opens by explaining what the activity is, puts unfamiliar words into plain language, and says how your child knows they are finished. Before this, a page was an instruction and nothing more — a child who did not already have the idea had nowhere to get it. Also fixed • Comic-strip pages had been printing as blank paper since August. • Page numbers inside the booklet pointed at the wrong pages. • Three module descriptions listed activities the pack did not contain. • An activity written for five-year-olds asked them to fetch scissors. • Fixed screens whose text sat flush against the edge of the display, with no margin — the profile picker and the parent screens.
