New update for streaming player is great
Their new livestream player is great I love watching the most recent eastern Idaho news stories when I can. It took some getting used to with the app customizations but I have it how I like I now.
Great Local App
Great for local news alerts and stying up to date. I enjoy having the news in my hands. Works great too.

I truly love this news app. There is national and international news. The local news is upbeat. One note is that there is no ‘traffic and crime reports’ . LOL. That’s because in this Idaho city there is NO traffic and NO crime . It is so nice to be informed and not burdened with sad news. Thanks

I hope that I can paste the screen recording of this app. They claim a live stream can be watched, but if I’m lucky I can get a choppy slide show, with a new frame about every 5-seconds.
What’s really funny is if it gives me the remix-version of the weatherman doing the floss, because it’s trapped between 2 frames. That makes for some entertainment, but not for the news and info that I’m hoping to get from here.

Copy and paste CNN
This news app is ridiculous. If I wanted news from CNN I would download their app. Do some investigating and write your own articles.
Shuts down all the time
It used to be more stable, but over the past few weeks, it won’t even open a story for more than a few seconds before the entire app just quits. Irritating when you want to know about local news and it’s one of a very few sources in the area.

When is channel 8 going to get some professional staff? The news in the morning is a joke.

Never updated
I hate that I can’t even find local sports scores. It takes days for them to post high school scores. So disappointed. They only care about the “big” stories.

Updates are great
I originally rated this app poorly because the pop up ads seemed to interrupt reading randomly, usually mid-sentence. I downloaded and tried it again, though, and noticed that now the ads either appear at the bottom or pop up between news articles. This is a welcome change. Thanks to the developers for addressing the reading interruptions. I look forward to using this app to keep up with the news.

It would be nice if East Idaho News could do their own reporting instead of just regurgitating news stories from national news sources that do not represent Idaho values.

Poor weather forecasts
Extremely poor forecasting of the weather. The temperatures are NEVER accurate and NEVER updated in a timely manner. Checked it at 4:30 in the morning and it said it was 93 degrees, but another weather app said it was 73, which was the real temperature.
To hard to find local news
The app has gotten more complicated with every update. I look to KIFI for local news, not national news. It's not good for that anymore.
Really Bad
Why have notifications when the app crashes immediately after selecting one? Useless.
