Awful update

I have loved this app. It has been the best available with genuinely difficult expert level and easy to use.
The latest update has rendered it unusable. They’ve apparently decided to gamify it. Every time you enter a number you ‘scored (purpose undetermined). A number, usually 15 or 20 appears and hovers over where you have just entered, preventing you from quickly putting in the next number and distracting you from your train of thought. I have no idea why they have done this. Sudoku doesn’t need to be gamified. I can’t work out how to turn it off so will stop using the app after over a year of daily use. Stupid and pointless.
