Yeah so the start new game button doesn’t work. Deleted.

Loading, Fun Game, but Imperfect

I have finally gotten this game to load on my iPad mini 5th generation. The Killer Sudoku games (and Killer Sudoku is all that I play, not the regular Sudoku) are fun to play, but they have a major flaw. No game I have played yet has had a unique solution! I get to a point where I have, say, 3-4 in two squares in two rows, and they both are in a place where a total of 7 is needed. It is essential that Killer Sudokus have unique solutions!

Another thing that is needed is a way to check for correctness while playing. Right now, all I can find is that if I put a number in a square that conflicts with another one, both digits get displayed in red. I would like to be able to have all of my answers checked partway through, so that if I am on the wrong track, I can undo or erase the wrong ones before I get too far.

Add the ability to check everything entered, and my rating will go up to 3 stars. Make the Killer Sudoku puzzles have a unique solutioin, and my rating will go up to 4 stars.

Now for some "nice to haves" to bring my rating up to 5 stars, once the above two issues are fixed (any one of these will do it):

1. Add higher difficulties than Hard.

2. On the Hard difficulty (and higher, if this gets added), don't use any single-digit cages.

3. Make the puzzles symmetric.

Take a look at the web sites Killer Sudoku Online and Daily Killer Sudoku for examples of well-designed Killer Sudoku games. (Although web-based, both sites can be played on an iPad or iPhone, and Daily Killer Sudoku can also be played on Android.) All puzzles at Killer Sudoku Online and most at Daily Killer Sudoku are symmetric. I have never come across a puzzle at either site that does not have a unique solution. Both sites have ways to check entries at any point while solving the puzzles.

Ruined it!

New update ruined this great app. The buttons now occupy more screen space that the 9x9 grid, making it unplayable on my iPad mini
